  1. It's about time? We've been prioritizing the OL. In 2024 we were 4th in OL salary In 2025 we were 1st in OL salary In 2026 we are once again 1st in OL salary That's three years running. We didn't just start doing this. So the results on the field should be speeding forward to match up with the salary cap we are burning through. But they aren't. In 2025 we were 27th in total YPG. In 2024 we were 29th in total YPG. Are any of you actually expecting us to field a top 20 offense in 2026 or are we just setting the bar at winning free agency?
  2. I just don't think it's fair to all the other guys on the roster nor is it logical to have the only other option on the roster be Kenny Pickett. For better or worse the FO is going all in this season. I mean if we're being realistic what are the odds that Bryce Young just suddenly stops playing awful football at the beginning of the season after 3 consecutive years of doing so and now about 50 games worth of tape under his belt? Even 50/50 seems highly optimistic wouldn't you say? I don't see adding a mid round QB with potential as proving a point I see it as operating like a smart football team for a change. And because of that I feel it's unlikely to happen so I'll be quite surprised if they actually do it. We'll see.
  3. Kenny Pickett like Andy Dalton before him has no future here. If Bryce isn't the answer then we have to use our first on a QB next year. And if we already have one young QB on the roster that seems like a plus to me. Then he and the next one can compete and make one another better. We have got to stop this coddling nonsense all around. Competition is a good thing and makes everyone better. Leave the feelings at the door. It's a business.
  4. There should absolutely be a QB added in the mid rounds. One with the necessary ideal size and arm strength.
  5. Spurs have talent sure but our guys seem to be mostly going through the motions in this one. Not what you want to see with them on the cusp of playoffs for the first time in a long time. This group is young and has lots of potential but they beat up on some bad teams the last month and other teams seem to have overlooked them. As of right now I don't see a playoff series winner. Maybe next season with a little more experience and a few more pieces we'll be ready for the playoffs.
  6. The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
  7. Bryce Young is still here because of what we invested to select him. Anyone pretending otherwise is living in a fantasy world.
  8. That concern has always been present for me. I think we'll know their intentions if they once again forego drafting a young QB to develop. With all the resources we have spent to make this team competitive there should be no justifiable reason not to add another young talent to the most consequential position on the field.
  9. I like where you're going here. With us only having two 5ths and a 6th I am definitely open to the idea of trading down in this draft if the opportunity is there. This is where Morgan has the chance to really establish himself. We need a homerun.
  10. You can get a Sam Mils jersey through Mitchell & Ness but it just feels off with the new styling of current jerseys.
  11. All that matters is the return on the investment. Shouldn't be any excuse to field less than a top 15 offense this year.
  12. If the right prospect falls sure. I just don't want to take one to take one at 19 if there is also quality defensive talent still on the board. I mean not to sound like a dick. But only the Panthers and their fans think you have to draft one in the first to hit. For all the praise of Morgan's FA which is certainly looking good. Where he will truly cement his role is picking those mid to late round gems in the draft. Without those winning free agency doesn't mean squat
  13. At the end of the day we were always walking a tightrope with the OL we were amongst the top 3 or 4 paid units in the league even before Icky got hurt. Injuries are very unfortunate but they are going to happen to any team. And besides even if he hadn't gotten hurt we would have given him a contract extension and we would still have the highest paid OL in the league right now. That's why we should have been addressing the OL in the draft more. I hope to see us begin that approach with the upcoming draft.
  14. The most interesting thing to me in all this. Walker was a 7th round pick. Maybe we shouldn't have waited 4 years to draft another OT.
  15. Canales opened the door to all this with how he managed the RB carries. Then you've got some of our own fans goading him for whatever reason like we paid him a ton of money. These folks should have kept that same energy for other backs who were making record salaries while riding the bench.
  16. 19th overall should go to the defense unless there is some ridiculously fortuitous circumstances where someone falls.
  17. We better show up motivated I can't stand the damn Steelers and their bandwagon ass never seen Pennsylvania in their lives fans.
  18. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/position/offensive-line/_/year/2026/table/active/sort/cap_total For anyone interested.
  19. Wasn't he asking 20 million per? I mean as a fan I like it and welcome it because the trenches are where you should invest. But man we have got a fΖ°ck ton of salary cap in the OL. This should put us in the #1 spot by a wide margin now. We damn sure better field way better than the 25th best passing O.
  20. Competition in our WR room is good no matter how you want to look at it. That will be very beneficial in camp. Now if we can only get consistently better ball placement
  21. Honestly don't understand how this signing is so contentious. He'll compete. He could end up being a real asset for us as well. Low risk high reward.
  22. I didn't know he has already been in the league seven seasons. Either way we were going OT early in the draft.
