  1. You just posted the stats, not me. You just demonstrated that he's a running QB. I'm just laughing at you bro. YOu posted stats and call me an idiot. You high?
  2. Are you really going to use rushing stats to claim if a QB is a rushing QB or not?. Even by this logic your boy Jackson is averaging almost 3 yards more than Cam. You're actually proving my point for me even if I don't agree with those stats being the major factor but if you want to use them then thank you. Obviously I'm right by these stats. Jackson is a running QB. Thanks for proving my point. Good job. Lamar Jackson: 10.5 Hahaha. You don't understand how this works do you?
  3. His receivers have a high drop rate because his passes are bad. Good receivers don't want to play there. The Ravens had to create a new offense specifically for him because he couldn't run a normal offense. Are you saying that the Ravens are running a typical NFL offense with Jackson at QB??? That's why I call it a gimmick offense.
  4. Not really, NO, Yes, No Do I have to do the hokey pokey and turn it all about now?
  5. In the beginning yes, at the end no. Are you honestly comparing Jackson to Vick though?
  6. Something a little deeper at play? Are we speaking in code now? Before I consider reconciliation I'd like to know what exactly I'm supposed to reconcile. If you have something to say just say it. Don't hide behind innuendos. I didn't attack you personally but just gave my football opinion but you seem to be hinting at something more personal. If you've got something to say just say it. Don't hide behind pretty words. What are you trying to say exactly.
  7. We obviously have different dictionaries. But if you want to call a moth a butterfly well that's your right. I do realize that definitions are very fluid these days. But in my world, a running QB runs first and throws second. If you prefer a different definition then I can't really argue against that. But id Allen is a running Qb then what is Jackson? Surely you're not suggesting they are the same style? Maybe I'm watching different tape so please share so that we all can see the similarities.
  8. I'm not ragging on Lamar. I'm just calling it as I see it. I personally wouldn't want a gimmick QB running a gimmick offense to lead my team. I would like to have a chance to win it all and that style of offense has never won it all. The closest it ever came was with us when Cam actually threw the ball pretty well. That one, magical season. But overall? Cam was average most of his career because he couldn't pass that well. Take away the run and we were in trouble. Facts bro facts. I danced for joy the day we let Cam go. I danced again the day we passed on Fields. That's how I feel and if you don't like it then that's your problem not mine. Go root for another team. I'm happy with my team and where it's going.
  9. Yeah, 2nd. And in the playoffs? Stuffed. Couldn't pass the ball. If they can get past that default in their offense then he will stay but if not.........? How many season are they gonna repeat the same issue. This is his contract season. Either he proves he can take it to the next level or they should let him walk and I believe that's exactly what they'll do. Why pay a QB that can't pass 45 mil a season? The NFL doesn't judge you on coming in second for MVP. The Ravens are a SB level team but can't get there and the main reason is that they cannot throw the ball consistently. The truth may hurt but it's still true. There is no way a running QB was the 2nd best QB in the league last season nor any other season. QBs throw the ball. That's their job. This isn't college. Mobile QBs are different. They are passers who can extend plays. That's a commodity. Runners who can kind of pass are too limited against a good defense. A good defense will run blitz the Ravens and it's over. We saw that last season against the Bills who have a mobile QB who can throw well.
  10. Mobile QBs are definitely the new thing. Running QBs are failing. The best running QB is Lamar and IMO if he doesn't learn how to pass better he will not be a Raven next season. His experiment is in it's last season I believe. They remodeled their offense specifically for him and did a great job. That's a great staff in Baltimore but either they prove that a super college offense can win a super bowl or they will let him go before the big contract. I don't expect them to over pay a gimmick QB.
  11. Marshall's looking like he's going to be a stud and the steal of the draft.
  12. I see what you did there......and I like it.
  13. I see it the other way around. Most QBs these days are duel threat. I see it more as whenever someone doesn't think a QB is actually that good of a QB the people who like that QB look for obscure reasons to justify why another person doesn't agree with their opinion. It's like they are so sure that QB is so great that there's no honest reason why someone would say that they're not. Maybe Fields will be great. He has a lot of great characteristics but he has a lot of flaws in his game too which is why he fell on draft day. Nothing in that hype video showed anything new about his game yet so the doubt for many of us is still there. No second read and he still has that slow delivery. Those are his two biggest criticisms and they appear to still be there.
  14. Yeah that's nice. The problem is that every one of those throws but 1 was to his first read. Take away that and he's looking to run the ball. Even the one play where he hit the check down he was about to run and saw him last second. He does have a nice deep pass though but until he learns how to hit his 2nd and 3rd targets consistently, he will have problems. That's why so many teams passed on him. Including us.
  15. I've visited a Bears fan site to check up on the Fields' situation. The organization is definitely hyping him up and that's to be expected since they traded up for him and the last QB they traded up for didn't work out too well for them. As I read through posts though some obvious things begin to stick out and some of their fans are pointing this out too. He's being hyped up but without a lot of details about what is so great. They mention work ethic a lot, running skills and strong arm. Not a lot about actual great plays. As I kept reading through posts other things which tell a much different story than what the hype would have you to believe. Dalton is the number one hands down. At this time, Fields isn't considered a threat to take his spot any time soon. He makes an occasional great pass followed by a lot of bad passes, incompletions and interceptions including pick sixes. Drives stalled by sacks after holding the ball too long. He threw an interception on a shuttle pass. From what I've read and some fans are pointing out that it's a lot of hype but his actual play isn't that good yet. Here's just one example from a practice this week. Don't expect to see Fields starting any time soon unless something happens to Dalton. Andy Dalton is firmly ahead of Fields on the depth chart.
  16. Is it just me or does Arnold look a little like Sawyer from Lost? Nice write up dude! I agree with your takes. They seem pretty fair to me. I'm also expecting Chubba to give CMC some good solid relief this season which I believe will also help us a lot down the stretch.
  17. Yes, I am. Thank you. I apologize for quoting you specifically for my rant. It was over the top. I respect you as a fan and I like your posts and opinions. It's just that these days it's hard to enjoy normal life things and today was a good day and it irritated me that people complained about it. I'm sorry bro. I was wrong to respond so harshly. It's just difficult to do normal fun things with the family these days and I want to just enjoy these things as they are. But you're right, my response was too hard. My bad bro. Please, excuse me. I shouldn't have responded like that.
  18. What does it sound like when you put a huddler like rippadonn on ignore? Like this?
  19. Really? You actually felt the need to take the time to tell us fans how we should feel? Well, thank you so much for considering all of us poor Panthers' fans. I hope that one day you will be able to support your team live and they will practice with tanks, bombs and missiles so that you can truly enjoy the experience with your family. Which team do you support? I would love to hear about your teams' blood sport practice. I bet it was fun watching all your children's favorites getting carted off the field and to the hospital. Pre-seasons just aren't what they used to be huh? The NFL has become too soft hasn't it. I know my kids love watching their football heroes' careers getting cut short and they were very disappointed that no one had to be carried off the field today. I assured them that after practice at least 2 or 3 players had their helmets removed by guillotine. Now I know they will sleep better tonight.
  20. So, in the 2020 draft you would have traded our 2021 first round pick to draft Herbert and then used that same pick to draft Fields the next season??? Brilliant!!! Why didn't we just think of that? You're right. Our team has no idea how this stuff works.
  21. I voted NO other. His legal problems are not good but I just really like Sam at this point and want to see him succeed. I believe he can do this and I want to see him do it. I'm much happier giving him his shot at this time to save his career from his past than giving the same shot to Watson considering what his past is at the moment. Sam feels more like a Panther's player to me now than Watson does and I don't think that will ever change. I think it would be difficult for me to have the same enthusiasm I'm feeling now for Sam. Go Darnold! Go Panthers!!!
  22. With the players we have now and the creative minds I believe we have coaching, this offense has the potential to be unique and very fun to watch as they could do things other teams just don't have the players to do. Interchanging them in different roles at different times and differently depending on the match up. Switching Anderson/Marshal inside outside changes things, Tremble, Arnold, CMC and Hubba doing different things could give defenses a lot of different looks and things to watch out for making them all very difficult to scheme against as you won't know what they are going to do. That doubt should keep defenses on their heels a little too which will slow them down helping our OL as well.
  23. Exactly. Also, from the HB spot he becomes almost an extra lineman instead of a lead blocker as FBs usually are. If our LT is having problems sending the HB across the zone area can really help there as well. In the DE speed rushes the LT TT coming across from the side can push the DE right out of the play and keep Sams blind side protected and things like that too
  24. This. I see them using him as a TE/HB hybrid. During the confidential video, before day 2 on the day 1 recap, Fit calls the scouts over and they are discussing who's left they would want to draft and he Fit says "Tommy Tremble, I know there's a lot of conviction from our coaching staff on how to use him". I found that wording to be particular. It wasn't to play TE or FB it was How to use him. We know they like tweeners and to me Tommy is a tweener. When I hear how to use him I imagine they have ideas on how to run certain plays or packages specifically to take advantage of his particular skill set which I see as more of an HB which is a tweener position anyway. he could line up in all 3 spots and then shift at the LOS or he could take on a blocking role but from HB instead of FB which I think would work well with out ZBS or send him out on a route from the same spot. With CMCs speed he often hit the 2nd level where you could sent TT to block and open CMC up. PLay after play and then every once in a while instead of blocking the LB he just flies past him for a wide open pass because no one is guarding him. This is why I loved the pick so much because he is so good at blocking, I think he can become a good receiver and with creative coaching he could be a very difficult challenge to opposing defenses for how to account for him. It's rare for defense to face a true HB and a good one at that. I think he will be able to help CMC get more big run opportunities in every game and offer big 3rd down and redzone possibilities with trick plays using him as a runner and receiver in misdirection's and such. His possibilities and potential excite me as much as Marshal's do. Marshal has the ability to be a big stat guy but TT has the ability to be a game changer in a different way. The 1 of a kind player way.
