Yeah the closer to the ball the better. I think Evero runs a lot of zone but hopefully Chinn will be able to man up on TE's when necessary

He's definitely got the most fire out of the three, hopefully with actual coaching he can have Dalton playing that emergency QB role. I'm sure him last year seeing what happened with guys like PJ and Purdy getting starts has him coming into camp with a different mentality than he had last year when he was pissed off he didn't get drafted higher.

Easy Frank don't be too tough on the young guy! Definitely a different HC style than what we've had in the past. Makes sense that he got Brown/Duce and Evero to add some edge to his coaching approach

Lame thing is if one of the top 2 QB's is cleared to return to the game, the QB3 has to go back to the bench even if they're balling out. I'm sure teams will play injuries up or down depending on the scenario, since being healthy enough to play is often subjective

There was a similar rule between 1991-2010, different guidelines. The third quarterback rule was a rule in the National Football League from 1991 to 2010 that governed the use of a third quarterback in addition to the starter and the backup. The rule was abolished for the 2011 season, when the NFL increased the roster size to allow 46 players to dress for a game.[1] In 2010, the last year the rule was in effect, teams could dress 45 players for game day. If they had two quarterbacks dressed for the game, they were allowed to dress a third quarterback who did not count toward that limit. Especially since we traded a pick for him, and also considering we might only get a 5th or 6th rounder back from another team for him. Much better to have a guy that's gone through the whole offseason program than to just grab an emergency guy in the middle of a week if theres an injury

With teams now being allowed to carry a 3rd qb on game day as a 47th active player it should be a no brainer. He's going to know the play book, we traded away a pick for him, we wouldn't get anything worthwhile in trading him away. I imagine he's going to play a lot of the preseason game snaps since Dalton won't really need them. Curious is Bryce will get more preseason time since he's a rookie or if they'll just let him play a half of game 2 like most other QB1's play now.

So do people still want to try and trade Corral for a 5th/6th rounder or whatever now that we can carry 3 active qb's on game day? They have to be on the 53 man roster, can't call him up from the practice squad.

Scary good? It's literally the same group as last year plus a couple UDFA's. It was scary bad when Horn went down. The only hope they have for depth is 2 UDFA's beating out 2 of the depth guys and that's usually not very likely to happen. Maybe Wright knocks out STO or Taylor
