  1. It's a solid move. Only knock would be he's only under contract for this year, I guess the CB injuries got us desperate for a legit #2
  2. Yeah better to test the whole operation in a real game setting so you can spend the next two weeks ironing out whatever kinks pop up Saturday. That goes for Head Coaching, play calling, play execution, clock management, headset communication, etc. It's a test run for the whole operation, not just the offensive players remembering the play calls
  3. I'm also confused as to if the preseason games are "vanilla" then what exactly had him worrying about them stumbling around? O-line not gelling yet i'm guessing?
  4. Raym looked pretty good and this film breakdown highlights a handful of his snaps. Jack Anderson at LG as well
  5. I still don't get the Brooks thing. 1 year of production behind a really good Texas line. I guess it's the combo of that injury lingering through the whole camp for a one year wonder and moving up for XL who was also a one year wonder who has barely practiced that's not getting me too hyped on this draft. Both seemed like luxury picks for an established team
  6. I think you keep the position based on league standings however it updates weekly. I imagine by week 4 we'll either look better than expected or the writing will be on the wall and waivers will be moot
  7. After that the worst teams get top priority so...we'll probably still be picking near the top. The only thing that might throw that off is we get the Saints and Raiders in the first 3 weeks so we might squeak out a couple wins early before the schedule gets tougher
  8. What the fug is wrong with Newton. Out of all the layoffs at ESPN over the last decade how is he still hanging around?
  9. Fair to question but don't be surprised if that's the reality. I would literally take anyone that's being cut by another team over him but apparently QB depth is not a priority for this crew
  10. Under 4 years you're waived, over 4 year vets are released and don't pass through waivers, they are free agents. Both are technically cut
  11. Looks perfectly healthy here on the last play of the game
