  1. Yup. And so far Brady hasn't shown us much. With CMC in, the system works. With CMC out, I don't know which checkdown can catch. Thomas and Chubba ain't it. Tremble has a drop with few targets. Royce freeman has 3 targets and no drops. Spencer Brown has no NFL stats. This is a clusterfk. We have a checkdown offense and no reliable checkdown without CMC.
  2. You are 100% correct on the QB requirements. Teddy wasn't awesome, but we didn't go to Sam for the deep ball: We went to Sam because he doesn't blame the coaches like Teddy did. In a media circus world where everyone is attacking you, you stick together and Teddy threw everyone else under the bus. Teddy publicly blamed Brady, Brady wanted him gone, and he's gone.
  3. WTF? You jets fans are so fickle. It is now apparent that the jets deserve what they have gotten. Please, if you are going to be like this, go back where you belong. Sam has shown he can play at a high level. He has had 3 300 yard games and set a record for rushing touchdowns in his first 5 games. We lost to Dallas because the D sht the bed. We lost last week because he had 3 turnovers because we repeat routes and OUR CHECKDOWNS CAN'T CATCH. Had he thrown to Thomas he would have dropped it because that is when Thomas drops the ball, when we absolutely need him to catch it. I can show you 3rd down after 3rd down where THOMAS DROPS THE BALL. You cannot go to Thomas on 3rd down. You cannot go to Thomas in 2 minute drill. The pressure goes straight to his head.
  4. Some people said that getting rid of Dan Arnold was a mistake. I disagreed. Dan Arnold had ZERO drops. Sam is throwing ints because he has UNRELIABLE checkdowns with CMC out. Having Thomas or Hubbard be the checkdown is MORONIC. I was wrong. Losing Dan Arnold and Rodney Smith were horrible losses with CMC out. They both had ZERO drops. SCHEME AROUND THE WEAKNESS JOE BRADY!
  5. Now our checkdown receivers can't catch a cold. Thomas has an 8.3% drop% and Chubba's is 18.3%, both higher than every team average in the league. Mike Davis last year was 2.9%. Rodney Smith caught every ball (5), but we released him??? This is the real reason CMC has to play or we lose. He catches the ball. You cannot create a scheme that sends the ball straight into the weakness and then blame player execution. Scheme around the weaknesses Joe Brady!
  6. We all kept saying that the reason our weak line last year had the 10th best press% was because Brady "schemed around" our weaknesses. It wasn't Joe scheming around the weaknesses last year. It was Teddy barely looking at the first read and going straight to the checkdown and now we know why. The first read isn't open most of the time because they repeat routes. Teddy figured out that there was no point looking at that route UNTIL it changed.
  7. Yeah. With what Teddy told us, what Robby said, and this press conference, it is becoming clear where the problem is. "Just play within the scheme"="missed opportunities"
  8. Yeah. I'm just real disappointed with him right now.
  9. I don't understand what it is about the scheme that makes Joe thinks that no adjustments need to be made on his part. I hope he is at least listening to his players and weighing the effects before he rules out adjustments. I always thought that the scheme made Teddy and the line look better. Now I'm wondering if Teddy made Brady's scheme look better. Because at this point, it doesn't look that great.
  10. FAs didn't play in the last game. In fact the FA guard that Brown would replace hasn't played the last 3 games.
  11. That picture is probably going to change a lot this weekend.
  12. It's just not that its not a good look, it indicates that he isn't working on solving any problems related to scheme or play calling, which means they won't get solved.
  13. I don't remember the Superbowl Giant's OL being impressive.
  14. I watched Rhule's too and didn't come away with anywhere near the same feeling as I felt with this one. Rhule certainly didn't say that Sam is not feeling the pass rush.
  15. It feels that way. Just watching it, I should count the number of times he said "execution". I was expecting to hear a "missed opportunities" at one point.
  16. That was the first sack I believe, and it was a whopper. To say that has no effect on play is just not in touch with reality.
  17. I really have absolutely no idea. It's such an odd thing to say. If you watch the delivery, at the 7 minute mark. It seems like he is saying the pass rush isn't effecting his play....if that is what he meant, I just disagree.
  18. I'd say Sam is feeling the pass rush, maybe that's just me.
  19. On the last 2 losses: "The biggest thing execution. Cut the turnovers." On Robby's double moves request: "You can always turn on the tape...execution just wasn't at a high level. When the plays were there, we didn't make enough of them...I wouldn't say he was wrong with the thought process, especially after the fact." On pass protection, he emphasized staying ahead of the chains to avoid 3rd and long, avoiding penalties and turnovers. "Just get in a rhythm." On Sam holding the ball: "He needs to just continue to play in the system....He's not feeling the pass rush. ...He's not seeing it." On the 3rd quarter doldrums: "You try not to make it a bigger deal than its. I think its more of a mindset...we need to have the same mindset we do when we start the game....We have to do a better job in the 3rd quarter. We have to do a better job in the 2nd half, just not where its the most important thing....There are definitely half time adjustments....that's the chess game as coaches."
  20. You may have known how we compare in pass protection against our rivals, but some do not. Some people didn't know that Atlanta had a lower pressure% than the Saints. There is a lot of pure opinion OPs about how the line sucks. Do you post this question on all of them?
  21. If he's going to the PS...who's our punter?
  22. Ryan Winslow played 2 games in 2019 for the Cards. He had 6 punts at 48.5 y/p and the longest being 55 yards.
