You see, this is why I'm more critical of Dave Canales
mrBdawg replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are a lot of things to complain about Bryce. But he takes shots. We throw go balls. It’s not like it’s 2023 Bryce who did not take shots and missed every time when he did -
Is it cherry picking when darnold and baker literally played for us 2-3 years ago?
-
I’ve been been defending Bryce for two years and I’d trade him for Jameis in a heartbeat

If the Panthers lay an egg at home vs Atlanta...

Evero firing is 100% warranted. He is just running a base defense and letting them get killed. Scheming no pressure, disguising nothing. It’s actually pathetic. -

fug Bryce’s stats n all that but one positive I can see is our offense is actually getting reps out there -
Bryce Young is a problem — what would you do if you were Dan Morgan?
mrBdawg replied to OldhamA's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce has looked good with one of the first round picks. The other looks like he does not belong on an nfl field. Yet you hold it against Bryce bc we whiffed on a pick lol -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
mrBdawg replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
The whole “field not being stretched” thing might’ve worked for rookie year Bryce but it doesn’t anymore lmao He takes several go ball attempts every game. Literally threw like 6 deep balls this past game. Do you think other teams just chuck the ball deep all game? they don’t. -
I’m not here to say Bryce’s grade makes sense he made me physically ill with some of those decisions. Bryce completely screwed Renfrow. But they supposedly grade route running, run blocking, etc. Renfrow wasn’t great. But he had chances to make plays and didn’t. The passes didn’t do him any favors though and one almost got him killed. I do hate to say this but a real NFL tight end makes that catch most of the time. Now Ian Thomas, Chris Manhertz, Hayden Hurst, Tommy Tremble? What we are used to seeing? Yeah they might catch that ball 25-50% of the time lol

Solid Breakdown of Bryce's Poor Performance/PFF Stuff
mrBdawg replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
Multiple deep shots to McMillan? We were 12th out of 32 in ADOT brotha -
Are you talking about Jatavion Sanders? And his big fat drop on a “50/50” ball where Bryce put it in right in his hands? And the defender did not even get his head around or a hand on the ball? You’re wondering why a receiver would be knocked for dropping a ball that hit him directly in both hands? And why a qb would be graded positively for throwing a guy open with a tight window downfield pass? we being fr right now?

Maybe a weeeee bit exaggerating. I think he will be a great player. But that doesn’t look like someone that was super committed in the weight room during college which is just a little confusing. Maybe he cut some weight to try and run a better 40. We saw Julio come into the league a little skinnier, get bigger/stronger and really start dominating. Strength and size is important as a big physical x receiver. It’s not so important for the Devonta Smith role
-
Tee is LISTED as the same height and weight. McMillan is not 220. It’s obvious. Just like Bryce wasn’t 204. You don’t need to be jacked but if you run a 4.6 you don’t want to be 205 pounds at 6’4
-
You think he has an NFL body? That he has no room to improve as a rookie? Okay bud
-
Randy Moss ran a 4.3, Tee Higgins is a legit 220. He’s worked to get bigger/stronger since coming into the league. Tee Higgins makes tmac look skinny. The knock on McMillan is his play strength and getting pressed by physical corners, and he’s in this video shirtless literally looking like he doesn’t lift, ever. You don’t want your “big body” receiver that runs a 4.6 to be in the weight room and develop his play strength? Play strength he is documented on film as lacking?
-
He’s a big slower receiver and he’s built like a high schooler lol he needs to get stronger
-
What does this mean
-
He needs to spend some time in the weight room. He does not look 220 he look about 205

Round 6, Pick 32 (#208) - Jimmy Horn Jr, WR, Colorado
mrBdawg replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah you can spot it in a video lmao. Im sure a safety is gonna jump a dig based off of an arm swing a quarter second before he’s in and out of his break. It is genuinely a great route and the indicator is so late it does not matter. That’s why there are people raving online about the route lol -
Round 6, Pick 32 (#208) - Jimmy Horn Jr, WR, Colorado
mrBdawg replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
If that allows him to cut close to 90 degrees at full speed then it doesn’t matter. No break down no hip drop. DB doesn’t have a chance to react before he’s out -
Congrats to @roaringriot….. this is pretty awesome

No one asked brah -
My good brotha Bryce had 6 rushing touchdowns in 12 games last year
-
Goff? How lazy of a take is that? Goff who operates in one of the most stacked offenses with an elite O line, elite run game, elite receiver and tight end, top end vertical threat and probably the premier play caller in league? And sticks to the script every play. Goff is a pure pocket passer with almost no mobility, a statue in the pocket who absolutely does not create. Bryce’s biggest upside is his ability to improvise and create which we saw him do extremely effectively post benching. I mean we just watched him rush for 6 touchdowns in the last 6 games and we are comparing him to Jared Goff

Best at throwing into tight windows and throwing open receivers = game manager? Game managers check the ball down
-
You’re joking right? BOTTOM left is not where you want your QB. Throwing into tight windows inaccurately. Top left means you are literally throwing guys open. Which is what you want a great QB to be able to do. Your comment is insane.
