  1. It was a cheap shot, totally unnecessary and completely unacceptable for practice. He definitely deserved to be thrown out of practice. But Robinson looks like he could be a core ST guy, provides good depth, and has some dawg in him we've been solely lacking. All unrelated to this video in a vacuum. I'd rather have KRob over Franklin or Chandler. He offers so much more and it's past time to wash all the unnecessary Temple/Baylor players off the roster. I'm tired of losing, tired of us being boring, and tired of not having an identity. KRob can help on all 3... hope he makes the 53
  2. Exactly. This is a nonsense post TBH
  3. Good list except I could see them keeping 7 WRs and only 10 DBs. Agree with others there is a chance we make a waiver claim (and/or sign after week 1) for an offensive/defensive lineman. I guess I could still see a move at LB but I think we are better there than I thought before TC and preseason
  4. 100%. Rhule isn't going to totally wash his hands of PJ, but PJ was not going to make this 53 man roster even before the Corral injury. I think the plan all along was to cut PJ and try to resign him to the PS. Corrals injury just means Baker and Sam will be the only 2 QBs on the 53 man roster IMO
  5. I'm at a loss trying to understand the consternation here. I certainty don't want to see Corral hurt, but this is probably the best thing for the team this year. PJ will be traded or probably just cut (although I think he will be on the PS if no one picks him up)' we roll with Sam and Baker, and Matt gets a redshirt season. Best part is hopefully we only keep 2 QBs and have that valuable roster spot for another group. I'm still excited about Corral long term. But this is Baker's team in terms of QB. If he doesn't perform, there's no one else going to save this team
  6. You may be right. But if I had to chose between keeping 3 QBs or just 2 QBs and IRing Corral for the roster spot I would chose that. Rhule is not going to only keep Mayfield and Corral. And if we keep 2 I don't see a lot of difference between Darnold or Walker. IMO, if Baker doesn't play well, this season is a bust regardless. I still think there are good things about Corral that can be developed, and he hasn't been out there with a lot of guys that will be on NFL rosters, but his performances in these games don't look like a guy who will be ready to contribute in year 1.
  7. In the overall interest of the team, might be best to IR him and save the roster spot. You see the talent on some of his throws, but he needs time developing before he would be anywhere ready to come in a live game.
  8. I seriously won't be surprised if Corral is put on IR if they can in anyway justify it. but I still think PJ stands a good chance to get cut. I don't think we can unload Darnold for anything, so why not just keep 2 QBs. The extra spot could be much better used elsewhere, and I think a redshirt season for Corral would be good. If Baker doesn't revert to 2020 form, then we're not a playoff team and we might as well reset at QB again going into next year with just Corral under contract
  9. I'll give credit to Rhule for developing Ricci. He is looking like a decent H-Back/FB. But Sullivan shouldn't be on a NFL roster. Got to upgrade there
  10. Engram is begging to come home. Literally on social media. Sullivan has to go
  11. Sounds like the Bozeman injury isn't season threatening or anything, but it's still not a good sign for an offensive Interior which has given us zero confidence the last couple of years. To me, Ekwonu, Christensen, Bozeman, Corbett, and Moton are the right choice, injuries nothing. I am disappointed Bozeman has not shown anymore separation from Elflein thus far, but I still think Bozeman has to be the better choice. It's certainly not all doom and gloom, and I think the overall quality of the Oline will be much improved this year- unfortunately when you're starting at 31st that's not necessarily an indication of great things.
  12. We're all over it. I'm cool with Darnold as the backup or getting rid of him. Whatever. This season hinges on Baker, seriously. Give him a chance to cook. If he fails, it's on to Corral and/or 2023 anyway.
  13. Baker should be announced as QB1 before tomorrow's practice... I'm actually excited about what this team can be. Time to get the starters the reps together they need
  14. Nixon showed great flashes before he got hurt. I'm not worried bc I think there is still a great chance we will add another DE and/or DT at some point. Coaches want to get a good look at the young guys during TC before making a move. It could be as late as after Week 1 before a move is made too bc then the team is not on the hook for a whole seasons salary if it doesn't pan out.
  15. Taylor and Hartsfield are solid players too. Rhule/Fitterer have done a remarkable job building up the CB group. This is the kind of CB talent and depth we need to face a modern NFL offense
  16. It's almost impossible to believe considering how thin we've been at CB for most of the past 10+ years, but this group may have the most long term potential (considering they are all young) in many, many years
  17. He also has about twice as many TDs. Keep it in perspective
  18. IMO a lot of the defensive issues can be mitigated by having an offense that can actually pull their weight and not keep them on the field so much. I think that had a lot to do with them breaking down both physically and mentally as the season progressed. Not saying there wasn't some regression, but I think 75% of it was due to the complete lack of complementary football from our offense and to a lesser extent special teams
  19. Absolutely, unequivocally, no. He's the most talented receiver we've had in a long time.
  20. Reddick has proven more than Burns has. I truly don't understand the hate or why people think he shouldn't be a priority to resign. Reddick is every bit as good or better as a pure pass rusher and plays the run better than Burns. I like Burns, but he is a liability against the run. Watch the tape. I love the fact that we resigned Luvu, but I cringe to think that means we are just going to let Reddick walk. I cannot fathom how people think letting a proven double-digit sack guy walk is good business. If we don't resign him I could definitely see Atlanta (who just released Donte Fowler) or the Bucs (to pair him with Shaq Barrett) will sign him and he will terrorize us for the next few years. I had no opinion on Reddick to start the season, and thought like many that he was brought in solely as a Rhule guy. And while there was probably a lot of truth to that, he more than surpassed any expectations I had. People seriously need to watch the film. I understand the argument about being undersized against the run a little bit, but damn if he doesn't win against his guy in pass rushes consistently. His pressure rate was near the top of the league. You can never ever have too many guys that can rush the passer or cover corners. Getting Daviyon Nixon back healthy and upgrading over Brayvion Roy will help playing the run. Also, don't get rid of Denzel Perrymen. But Reddick just had the best pass-rushing season since Greg Hardy in 2013. He was Peppers level elite in rushing the passer. Letting Reddick go would be the worst decision this franchise has made since guaranteeing $18M to Darnold. Don't let one stupid mistake lead to another. Resign Reddick.
  21. Hell you could easily make the argument Reddick had the best overall season of anyone on the team. I would lose even further faith in Rhule if we don't try to resign him. Guys who can get double digit sacks don't grow on trees. The worst move the Saints have made recently was allowing their salary cap to get so jacked up they had to let Trey Hendeickson walk and sign with the Bengals, helping lead their defense to a SB
  22. Reddick was by far the best pass rushers we had this year. It is absurd he didn't make the pro-bowl. He is a proven double digit sack guy and proved he wasnt a one-hit wonder this season. I hope the naysayers keep the same energy when Tampa signs him to replace JPP. I think he should be the first priority to resign on defense
  23. Even as someone who wants Rhule gone, I think he has done pretty well on his hires all things considered. I wasn't happy with the McAdoo hire at first b/c of all the dysfunction from his HC tenure in NYG, but he does have a solid record as an OC. And he was probably the best we could do given our current (non-ideal by any stretch) QB and OL situation. The ST hire was good. I would certainly be happy with a top 10 ST group after the sorry ones we have had. And literally any OL coach would seem to be better after the abomination of this year. I am glad to hear he's had multiple Pro Bowlers he's coached. Other than finding a franchise QB, finding an OL coach who can actually develop guys is arguably our biggest need. My overall excitement right now is still pretty low, but since it seems Rhule is getting at least one more year, I hope these moves pay off. At least we are starting to get some substantial NFL coaching experience
  24. My thoughts exactly. I've been a fan since the beginning and a PSL owner since 2006. Like others have said, unless/until I find out Rhule is gone, the feeling is worse than 2001 or 2010 bc there is currently no hope. These last 4 years have been brutal, but this year has been the worst. I love the Panthers to my core, but this feels like an increasingly one-sided investment
