  1. Will be interesting seeing what the Jets roll out as their offense during the season with Rogers at the helm. That opening drive felt tailored to Zach Wilson being put in position to succeed with a patient run game. If that's what they're going to be doing with Rodgers then we could see a Brady-esque type gameplan: be affordable so that the team around you can be complete, play good defense, and control the clock on offense.
  2. Great coverage by DJax, even better recovery after he snuck up
  3. Evero dialing up the blitzes in preseason. I like the experimenting!
  4. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh kick off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. The Malik Willis/Will Levis QB2/QB3 battle taking place for the Titans is pretty damn fun.
  6. Just turned on the Titans-Bears games and Levis isn't looking too bad. Unfortunate that he just converted on 3rd there only for his TE to fumble it.
  7. Was a lot of fun watching Duce coach Chuba up in pass pro during camp confidential. Loved seeing how fired up Chuba got after a good rep vs. Luvu (or was it Shaq?).
  8. It was a discussion taking place in the Other NFL News thread since it was the offseason and things were slow. The discussion wasn't so much Cousins vs. Burrow but rather commenting that Cousins is widely derided for his performances in the postseason but the metrics show that he's not as bad as folks might believe. Nobody really cares that much about it. Was just something to talk about in the main forum and it was requested that it be taken here instead so the convo was moved on from.
  9. The balancing act, imo, will be with Icky's second contract. They'll likely have to go with a draft pick to replace T-Mo in order to keep the offense affordable.
  10. Sounds like at least a grade 2, possibly grade 3 hamstring tear
  11. Especially in Evero's defense, where if he is going to blitz it's going to be with an ILB. Shaq is a really good blitzer, but Luvu is excellent at it. I'm really, really hoping for a fun season.
  12. Will be interesting to see how/if he adjusts his defensive scheme to accommodate the new offense. Rivera was always big on controlling clock and having a well rested defense, but having an offense that can actually run up the scoreboard can also provide his defense with one-dimensional situations where they can pin their ears back like he prefers.
  13. Made me wonder the same thing (re: severity of Haynes' injury). Could also be a condemnation of the guys behind Haynes (YGM, Barno, and Johnson, though DJ is going to get the benefit of a season to develop).
  14. Ian Thomas' biggest issue is that for every play that he flashes upside he levels that out with a play that makes you wonder if he'll ever get it. At this stage in his career, teams aren't going to be looking at potential. They're going to look at the lack of consistency. Hopefully he's able to flip the switch this season, both for the team and for himself.
  15. Big, big win for the defense if he's stepped up and into the starting NT role. Brown, McCall, Williams with Anderson, Tuttle, and whoever the sixth defensive lineman ends up being (Kobe Jones?) sounds stout.
  16. Combine that with the Bryce's size possibly being an issue and the aforementioned 17-game season, the team almost has to have a QB3 on the 53. If Bryce gets hurt, that guy that was the 53rd player is going to get cut for another back-up QB anyways. Mind as well keep Corral on a cheap contract with a much improved coaching staff. If he develops into a solid QB2, then there's the reassurance of a reliable back-up to Bryce and potential trade bait.
  17. It's worth noting that with the 17-game season and injuries still piling up at the QB position that if Corral can show that he can learn + develop, he'll be a Panther as QB3. The need for a 3rd QB has been seen for the last few seasons and with recent rule changes it's worth spending a spot on the 53 on a guy that you don't have to activate (but can still play should you need an emergency guy) on gameday. Dalton's contract has him hear this season and next. They can cut him next season, but I think the team is hoping to roll with the current QB room for the next two seasons. After that, they'll assess where they're at and go from there.
  18. Washington had knee issues and Bowers syndrome
  19. Will be very interesting to see if Kobe Jones and Eku Leota make the team as their names keep popping up during camp. Brandon Smith and Amare Barno might want to watch out for their roster spots, especially if they were more Rhule's selections than they were Fitterer's.
  20. For folks on Twitter, I've used this list for the past few seasons to compile tweets for training camp and other news.
