I was thinking more this season. Regular season Away record was 24-11-6. First two rounds of the playoffs Away games 3-2-0. Home 5-1-0.

It was tinkered with when Svech was injured and we lost him for the season. After he went out we struggled a lot but managed to keep 2nd in the league. I still think we win the Cup.

Just listened to a podcast by Mike Maniscalco and Shane Willis, both respect the Panthers players. Willis sees this going 7 games and Mike sees it 6 if canes win that game otherwise going to 7.

That’s correct. Not preparing for a potential injury was the only mistake by owner/GM. Nevertheless we have players fighting harder than they ever have to win now that we are in the playoffs to bail them out.

We had what, 6-8 million left on the cap table after TDL with Paci and Svech on LTIR? I don’t see how we didn’t take some advantage of that. Forget a timo that huge long term contract was never worth it. This team has done an amazing job of stepping up in the playoffs and that and coaching are the only reason we are still here, not because an owner and GM knew we would be plenty good enough even with an injury to a player like Svech. (Initially we weren’t, look at Canes regular season record after Svech went down). Getting a little insurance is always a smart move.

CMC was one of the bright spots for the Panthers, I hated to see him go. He didn’t want to be traded, makes sense he’s happier with a team that wanted him. I pull for him every game he plays.

Yep. First of all should never have been a 10pm game. Then the baseball game in the ninth with the score 9-1 was a blowout and if you’re going to bump something to ESPN2 it shoulda been that game, not a second round hockey playoff game fuggin scheduled for ESPN. ESPN sucks, disrespecting hockey.

Vegas vs Kraken or Dallas, TBD tomorrow. Kraken in their second year, one of the 5 teams still in the playoffs. Vegas in the final 4 and in their very first season made it to the Stanley Cup final vs Caps in 2018. That is why I say the league rules on players expansion teams can take from other teams is a bit too generous.

Well so far looks like the Canes are going to have a really long break. I would be worried that it might be too long but the Panthas break will be long as well only one day shorter.

Bennett has been called an “enforcer” by some but that’s being too generous, he isn’t paying back for anything he just targets players to try to take them out of the game or interrupt a play with dirty hits etc.
