By the way, I make it a point to leave politics out of this forum. After all Canes fans come in all shapes and sizes and viewpoints. Sports is the one place we can all come together with a common goal, to see our Canes win the cup. Well you are correct about the dates on Shayna’s post and the agents firing I checked. But you have no proof that they were just waiting on the contact-a press release is not a contract. In any case I’m good if you see Shayna as reliable, maybe she usually is. But my goodness just admit it. Shayna was wrong. When Svech is healthy enough to play and with some of our guys already improving. along with Orlov and Bunting we’ve a solid cup contender.

I was thinking along the lines of Pesce and perhaps another and bringing in Karlsson to play RD. Not what I would want to see Orlov plays LD so unless he’s good at either side not sure he would be put on RD as a Pesce replacement. DeAngelo does play RD as well so yeah you could play him there if Pesce was traded for a forward.

I will be soooo glad when I hear Karlsson went somewhere else and this crazy talk can stop haha. And trade Pesce and bring on TDA just no, unless we get a great forward in return.

With Kempe signed for 3 more years at $5.5 mil cap hit Kings would be crazy to trade him. If they do go prompt insane let’s get him.

Plus minus is a worthless stat, same player can be -20 on one team and +25 on another. Im not saying get Nylander but I wouldn’t complain if we did. He would just have to play Rods system. And complain about his defense? Well how about Karlsson who has one of the lowest defense ratings in the nhl and yet he’s an actual defenseman!

I don’t know. wish he would be. Talk of them letting him ride with no extension to have a chance at the cup. I guess they would have to dump money somewhere else if cap space is an issue. That’s quite a gamble though because they would no longer have trade value in him after next season when he becomes a UFA.

I doubt we have a chance to get Nylander. The bigger point as KillerKat quoted the stats from the article is Canes are missing offensive firepower. And Karlsson sure as hell isn’t the answer to that.
