It's not Horn's fault that we picked him over Fields and I'm not gonna hold that against him. Wth that said, Fields should've absolutely been the pick and it was painfully obvious at the time. -
I wouldn't call only two top 25 wins (those being against briefly ranked Navy and ECU teams) "hugely successful". He has shown he can turnaround dumpster fire programs and make them competitive. Which if Nebraska is being honest about itself, that's what they are - a dumpster fire program. And that's why Rhule to Nebraska makes all the sense in the world.

Slye just hit a 58 yarder to head to half. Washington came to play tonight. How fuging awful is Carson Wentz now? He was clearly holding this team back.

Pitt is the best defense he's faced. They're the #15 defense in the country. He went 34/44 for 388 yards and 5 TDs plus another 61 yards on the ground. Career day for most guys. Just a typical Saturday for Drake Maye.

4000+ passing yards as a rookie suggests otherwise. My real point here is that Cam was the far more prolific college QB. He was simply further along than Richardson at this point.

Which is fine if you believe in his talent and your ability to develop him. I just don't think you can count on him playing as a rookie. This isn't a Cam Newton situation. He's a lot rawer than that.

I'm thinking more along the lines of having a guy like Carr might allow you to draft a guy like Anthony Richardson that has big time potential but is definitely a year or two away from playing.

Oh, if I can get Derek Carr for what we gave up for Darnold I'm doing that. Especially if there's not a QB we love in the draft at our spot.

He's not at that level. I think he's more along the lines of a Tannehill type. That's why I wouldn't give up a ton to get him. I think you're still shopping in the draft for a potential upgrade. He's likely worth more than I'd be willing to give up.

Carr is a decent QB playing for a dumpster fire franchise. The question in what would it take? Hell yeah I'd be willing to listen.

That dude had a cannon. But he didn't have anything else and the cannon wasn't equipped with any sights. He was kinda the opposite of the typical Tedford QB and was probably why Rodgers fell. Like uh oh. We've seen this movie before. Just another Boller. The cannon won't matter when guys aren't wide ass open.

We'll no poo. That why I was raising hell when it was rumored we were even considering trading for Darnold. The guy has been the statistically worst starting QB in recent memory. He has QB skills but he doesn't have a QB mind.
