Damn. That was a baller ass catch. Bombs away!
-
There's the flag Wake begged out of the refs' pockets. And they decline it.
-
Oh hell yeah. Big run!
-
I get that Chizik usually isn't a big blitzer but damn it when your secondary sucks and you don't have any dominant pass rushers on the DL, you better fuging bring pressure. It's not exactly rocket science.
-
Amazing. I've been screaming for us to throw out ever rush three play in the playbook since the first game of the season. It's blatantly obvious our D is just not built to succeed doing that.
-
That was dumb. That kickoff might have been heading OB.
-
Just got shook up momentarily. Now he's in the endzone.
-
Hell yeah. Can't start out much better than that
-
Do the announcers not realize that was a throw away?
-
Forcing a punt against a very good offense? Hell yeah! I'll take that. Fug, I'll give up a 20 yard run in the first play of every drive if we bow up after that.
-
We actually brought pressure. Nice. Didn't work but they had to hold to stop it.
-
3rd and long. Now we rush three and give up the 1st.
-
I don't understand deferring to the second half when you win the toss, you have a powerhouse offense, you're facing a powerhouse offense, your defense sucks and so does theirs. Take the ball and set the tone.

I was sitting third row last night.

fuging NC State, man. Even if Carolina can somehow miraculously won all of our remaining games and the ACC CG I just don't think we're going to have the SOS to go to the playoffs.

Bama is in a weird spot for them. They're very much accustomed to playing for championships. Having several games to go and knowing they're out of the hunt is unfamiliar territory for them. Interesting to see how they'll respond to it.

Jaycee Horn weighs in on the turf debate
LinvilleGorge replied to PantherFanInPhilly's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ever heard of a player begging to play on turf vs. grass? We sure have seen a lot of the opposite.- 58 replies

As bad as our D was early on it has improved over the course of the season. Now don't get me wrong, we are NOT a good defensive team but we have improved from literally one of the worst P5 defenses I've ever seen to just a run of the mill below average D. Not where we want to be but damn, it's a huge improvement from the complete and utter ineptness we showed earlier this season.

I think both of the two most recent UNC/Wake games have broken 100 points.
-
I wish Wake hadn't tailed off hard in recent weeks. Would've been nice if they were still a borderline top 10 team going into tonight's game.
-
There's plenty of young QB talent in the league. We just don't have any of it. Fortunately for us, neither do any of our division rivals. Hell, for that matter almost all of it is in the AFC.
-
I sincerely hope he does, but sadly that's just not how this injury usually goes.
-
Well, that sucks. Gotta assume he's done. That's a brutal injury. If he can comeback it'll just be icing on the cake.

I have no issue with re-signing Foreman. Just don't give RBs big money cap crippling contracts. But if Foreman continues to play well and you can sign him to a 2-3 year deal for say $3-4M per year, why wouldn't you do that?

A high priority? No. But I'm of the opinion that mid to late round RBs should always be on the radar. Good talent at that position can be found deep in the draft and my goal would be to keep drafting them to avoid paying them. Let some other team give them that big $$$ second contract if they hit. Teams with cap sucking RBs rarely compete for SBs. I don't think that's a coincidence.
