  1. A high priority? No. But I'm of the opinion that mid to late round RBs should always be on the radar. Good talent at that position can be found deep in the draft and my goal would be to keep drafting them to avoid paying them. Let some other team give them that big $$$ second contract if they hit. Teams with cap sucking RBs rarely compete for SBs. I don't think that's a coincidence.
  2. We're a losing franchise with a handful of good seasons. We're basically the Bucs over the same time period except they actually got two rings.
  3. I want the most draft capital I can possibly get. The talent in the locker room is the talent in the locker room. Them winning 2 games or 5 games last year doesn't have a huge impact overall. They're still a down trodden team needing lifting up and better coaching that's what I was hired to do. Give me all the draft capital to work with to keep building a more talented overall roster.
  4. A new coach is going to bring his own atmosphere. Winning some meaningless games this year has zero impact on the future... other than draft position.
  5. The teams that suck perennially suck because they can't build a good organization because the owner ultimately sucks. And THAT is my biggest fear for the Panthers. Because so far Tepper is looking like he sucks. Hard.
  6. You can trade down. You can draft a non-QB. There's no benefit to drafting lower on the board for a non-playoff team. None. Zero.
  7. This team is a lot closer to being ready to compete with a coaching staff and a QB than a lot of fans realize. It's hard to see it when we suck but this roster is a lot better off than most awful teams.
  8. Figure out if we want Levis or Richardson. If no, trading down to acquire additional future draft capital should be option #1. If Fitts is still around he thought Corral was a 1st rounder. Play him. Draft Drake Maye or Caleb Williams in '24.
  9. You don't walk into a winning organization as a new coach unless it's to take over from a retiring coach. That previous guy got fired for a reason. If you want to cheer for meaningless wins, feel free. But the reality is we're still going to be a loser and beating bad teams to push us down the draft board is only going to make it tougher for the next coach to build a winner. I want a winner. That's why I want to lose now.
  10. Oh Jesus. The good news for him? At least he got paid. The bad news for us? Those cap hits are gonna suck.
  11. Winning just enough games to not get top 5 draft picks is working out so well for us. That's the weird thing about pro sports. If you suck, you might as well suck BAD because you're literally at a competitive advantage in the future to suck worse if you're already bad.
  12. If DBs could catch tonight there could literally be double digit INTs in this game.
  13. Playing in the worst division in NFL history is gonna cost us a top 5 pick.
  14. How has Mariota not been benched? This dude should have thrown 5 or 6 INTs tonight.
  15. Damn. Huge turn of events. What should've been a pick six turns into a FG. That's a 10 point swing.
  16. Rooting for meaningless wins that does nothing but lessen our draft capital makes you such a great fan.
  17. Here it comes again. We suck balls but gonna draft in that 6-10 range.
  18. Isn't that the second time Woods has tried to decapitate London tonight? What's up with that?
