  1. It took waaaaaaaay too long for the NFL to make the call that night. It seemed very obvious that game was not going to continue. I'm pretty sure both coaches and teams made it very clear they weren't retaking the field that might. And yet it seemed to drag on foooreeeeeever.
  2. Hell, it looked like they had a 1st down twice and then a TE dropped a ball. Not sure how much I'd put on Josh Allen.
  3. I honestly kinda think the opposite. I think it's a bad stylistic matchup for Philly. But we'll see shortly. Hell, maybe the NFL rigs the game for KC and then has a rematch on week one of next year and does it again just as a flex and a fug you. I seem to recall that happening before...
  4. Same. Yeah, Philly has a really good offense but they have an elite rushing threat at QB and the best all around RB in football going up against defenses that are largely built to stop the pass in the modern NFL.
  5. It's not about the overall penalty count and yardage. It's more about highly situational calls in key moments. A questionable beneficial penalty on 1st down in the 1st quarter deep in your own territory is a lot less impactful than a questionable beneficial penalty on 3rd and long in the 4th quarter on the brink of scoring range.
  6. I think the people who screech about "conspiracy theorists" don't realize how easy it is to influence outcomes with a budget here and there. It's not like they're gift wrapping games for the Chiefs but just like the Pats before then it sure seems like every crucial questionable call in their games goes in their favor.
  7. So they're drafting Milroe and Jeanty or Hampton?
  8. Here's a thread where we can discuss this evening's sporting event and the spectacle surrounding it...
  9. Dude, you already got perma-banned for the click bait thread titles once and we let you back after awhile. When we eventually get tired of editing your thread titles again there won't be a third chance.
  10. Wasn't me. It was one of the other mods.
  11. The NBA has just turned into MLB. The small market teams are basically just farm teams. Those picks are half a decade away. These decisions aren't being made by a GM. You're getting fired before those picks get made.
  12. I have no idea how anyone could watch Cam Ward and say that guy isn't a 1st round pick. He's a 1st rounder in any draft class.
  13. Can't see it. I like the player a lot but TEs just don't go in the top 10 unless they're viewed as generational type prospects. Warren is a really good TE prospect but he seems more like the type of prospect who generally goes in the teens mid to late teens or early twenties.
  14. I'm sure they were probably asking him to take a significant pay cut on an extension and he balked. He's still a good receiver when he's on the field but he's missed a lot of games over the last three seasons.
  15. They should look at drafting Dillon Gabriel in the mid-rounds. Seems very similar to Tua.
  16. No, I'm not. That's just how you're reading it. I'm just saying resources are finite and I'd only want to pay one of Clowney or Mack.

  19. It does in a hard cap league. Every dime you spend on guys in the final years of their careers is a dime you don't have to spend on younger talent. You only have so many draft picks. I just think it should be a Clowney or Mack question, not both. That would just be too much cap tied up in aging vets at one position group. If we got Mack I'd let Clowney go.
  20. Well, you were gonna make sure of it one way or the other so what are you even containing about? It always baffles me when posters seek to initiate the derails that they bitch about.
  21. Yeah, when you draft poorly for multiple years it's hard to build anything. It even caught up to the Pats once Brady was gone and quality vets were no longer willing to sign at a discount to chase a ring. All those years of bad drafting got exposed pretty quickly.
  22. It would have to be a Clowney type situation where the contract is very reasonable. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense for this team to be pursuing guys in the mid-30s. We need legit building blocks not bandaids on their last legs. These types of guys generally sign for contenders because the goals align. The contender wants a boost to get over the hump and the aging vet wants a chance at a ring and a stable organization, he's done with all the BS and drama.
  23. Damn. That's awesome. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/rams-matthew-stafford-sends-signed-lions-jersey-to-fan-who-sold-his-for-playoff-tickets/
  24. Bingo. Even if you want to sell you want to get a good price. They just sold Manhattan real estate at a Charlotte price.
