Tom Waddell does what has never been done in Canes history- brings in a couple of exceptional talents at the trade deadline that appear, on paper, to be what can push this team over the top. There is immediate success... followed by a plateau. And here we are again- the inability to score goals heading into the playoffs where 1 or 2 goals per game isn't going to cut it. RBA tinkers with lines, opts to play best-on-best lines instead of putting the checking line on the opponents top line, etc. When does the captain say something? When do any of the bench assistants step in and point out the challenges? Why did RBA take a step back from the line combinations that were putting up over 3 GPA for a 2-week stretch? At what point do we start to look at the head coach and hold him as accountable as we hold the players?
