  1. TT has missed a few shifts, may be hurt.
  2. Staal in the box again while the refs have failed to call 3 trips on the Flyers.
  3. Bunting with the first goal on the top line with Aho tonite. Nice work.
  4. I'm going off the wall today for someone who has been grinding and playing pretty well of late: Jordan Martinook @ Philly
  5. The best part was watching the coaches try to sort out who was going to skate with who and how the lines were going to play the last 7 minutes after 10 guys get the gate.
  6. 1. Look at the roster 2. Look at next year's roster with no legit draft picks. 3. Ask yourself this question: What difference does it make who the next HC is if the talent is not on the roster?
  7. If anyone here believes this means Bryce Young suddenly emerges as an above average QB.... well....
  8. Boy did he tee that one up. Watching in person it looked like he had all day to settle the puck and shoot.
  9. Nothing like some light-hearted comedy before heading to Raleigh for the Canes game.
  10. We're in Section 105 tonight. Sold my regular seats in Club.
  11. Canes Record: 11-8-0 (22 Points, T-2nd, Metropolitan Division) Canes Last Game: 8-2 Loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday, November 24 Blue Jackets Record: 6-11-4 (16 Points, 8th, Metropolitan Division) Blue Jackets Last Game: 2-1 Win over the New Jersey Devils on Friday, November 24 Last Time Out The Canes played "their best period of the season" to start Friday night against Tampa Bay. Then they gave up eight goals over the final 40 minutes. Three power play goals in three tries in just 4:20 spun the contest in favor of the Lightning during the second period, and then they put on a five-goal clinic in the third. Antti Raanta suffered the loss, allowing eight goals on 14 shots. Discipline Woes After a rocky start to their season on the penalty kill, Carolina entered Friday's game 27 for their last 30 (90%) over their previous 11 games. Against the Lightning, they went just 1/5. Andrei Svechnikov has taken a penalty in seven consecutive games. Bunting's Production Forward Michael Bunting had his third multi-point game of the season Friday night against Tampa Bay. He also has seven points in six career games against Columbus. In Net After Raanta went the whole way in the loss to the Bolts, it is expected that Pyotr Kochetkov will take his turn in the rotation against the Blue Jackets. The 24-year-old played 40 minutes in relief against Edmonton on Wednesday, stopping 13 of 15. Hurricanes projected lineup Teuvo Teravainen -- Sebastian Aho -- Seth Jarvis Andrei Svechnikov -- Jesper Kotkaniemi – Martin Necas Jordan Martinook -- Jordan Staal -- Jesper Fast Michael Bunting -- Jack Drury -- Stefan Noesen Jaccob Slavin -- Brent Burns Brady Skjei -- Brett Pesce Dmitry Orlov -- Jalen Chatfield Pyotr Kochetkov
  12. I'm going Necas for today's game versus Columbus. Gotta get my pick in before heading out to PNC.
  13. Where did I say he should or would be fired?
  14. The way this season started and after last night's debacle, if this were many other teams in the league, RBA might be out of a job. I'd really like to know what went on during the 3rd period that RBA thought it was a good idea to leave Raanta. Maybe RBA was sending a message to the entire squad. Maybe he thought it better to let them get embarrassed than to intervene. Paul Coffey might be a good choice.
  15. Any goalie from the AHL will be comparable to Kochetkov. If Raanta is in fact injured, Waddell will have to start looking under rocks to find someone.
  16. I'm out, boys. Before I get too pissed off. Total domination 5 on 5 with garbage between the pipes.
  17. He's starting to press too much. Just needs to get the scoring monkey off his back so he can settle into his game.
  18. Canes can't stay out of the box against a team that lives on the PP. Raanta doing his usual. 4 shots 3 goals.
  19. I win. Just a goal, but it was net front.
  20. Vas confirmed in the pipes tonight. Still have 2 tickets for the Sunday afternoon game v. Columbus. PM me if interested.
  21. Watching the highlights from the Edmonton game. When Chatfield takes down McDavid behind the net, makes the outlet pass setting Jarvis up down the right side and he shoots and scores, the Edmonton broadcaster says that Chatty slew-footed McDavid Watch from the 3:00 - 3:40 mark:
