This team is simply down too many key players to have any semblance of cohesive play. Looks like RBA is just pulling names outta the hat for his lines. The blue line is a train wreck.

Yeah, I think he would have made the team ahead of Suzuki had he not been injured. There were Team Canada scouts at 2 of the games before he got hurt.

I've been critical of the organization's lack of urgency in addressing the goalie situation for a few years. And it started with the annual injury reports when Freddie was a good goaltender. He got hurt every season, missing stretches of games, yet the Canes insisted on keeping him. At least when Freddie got hurt, it forced the Canes to call up Pyotr, who was eventually given a heavier workload when Raanta's game went south. Much the same situation now, except the Canes don't have a backup plan and, right now, they can't assign Freddie like they did Annti. So, while the Canes can swing for the fences and bring in a Guentzel, Raantanen or Ehlers, the same can't be said for the goalie situation. And, yes, this team plays 2 different styles of hockey depending on who is in goal. Not a recipe for success. The Canes will be eliminated in the 1st round again this year. The Canes have 15 losses, Freddie has been in net for 11 of those. That number becomes more glaring with each loss and if the situation is not addressed, I fear the fanbase is not going to be very forgiving in Lenovo the next time Freddie is in the lineup.

I don't watch or listen to any pre- or post- game talk. Regardless of the sport, I tune in when the game starts. In this day and age, podcast, radio and TV sports talk people are a dime a dozen. I find it an incredible waste of time.

How does it feel, as a player, working your ass off to score & win, all the while knowing the guy in net couldn't be trusted to order lunch, much less stop a shot. Granted, some will say the Pens goal wasn't on him, but Bussi seems to stop plenty of shots that "aren't on him," too.

I don't hate KK. The Canes overpaid and he's enjoying the benefits. Anyone who assumed he was going to turn into an excellent player based on what the Canes paid him weren't paying attention. Sure, I wish he was much more physical, he's a big guy, and that's really all I was hoping for when he came to Carolina. Danault is better in the FO circle, better defensively and better down the middle, but it's a moot point now.

The Chiefs are done, have been done. Yet ref Vinovich had yet to call a single penalty on the Chiefs until Denver's final drive. Mahomes and Kelce getting air time doing nothing and the announcing crew embarrassing themselves drooling over the Chiefs.

Canes were reported to be very interested in veteran center Phillip Danault, only to see the Kings trade him to Montreal for a 2nd rounder next year. Not an offensive machine, but a strong 2C who plays excellent D, wins face offs and is strong down the middle.

Okay. Let's assume. Who are you making available for a trade piece?
