Somewhat agree but QB is most important and if Darnold lights it up in that scenario GREAT! They made a huge bet on Sam with absolutely no safety net.

We got Teddy B instead of playing Grier which may have gotten us a couple less "wins". We didn't have to full out tank for Herbert, he was in reach had we not signed TB for all that money. That's why I bring up Herbert as a mistake. Marty went to Oregon during CV19 to go see Herbert and we didn't make moves to get him.

Self inflicted gunshot wound. In hindsight Newton, Herbert, Fields would have been OK with the defense we have. They so far have shown no smarts for QB at all. I'm hoping Sam's that guy but their track record terrible and misguided.

If they're talking about "winning" get a real back up QB. Somebody who can actually win a couple games if Sam gets hurt. The safety net has rips in it. Remember how crucial DA was some of those years. A real pro as a backup can't hurt. I really don't understand the undervalued approach to the backup QB this team has taken.

Panthers in my personal opinion made some " " mistakes. Including having to thirst after Watson instead of having HERBERT or Fields. I'm just complaining though. The box office will prove one of us to be correct. Jersey sales etc.

Darnold IS a dual threat QB. He can run. Is he 85% of what Cam/is/was? No. Is Fields AND Justin Herbert better than Darnold? Hmph... They could have kept their franchise QB and still made all these great picks on defense like they have, love that, but they've f'd up the QB position, willingly. Mistake.
