  1. This is EXACTLY why 3-4 tweeners become liabilities when you go away from 3-4. That's why I'm a firm advocate of going just going back to 4-3 and weeding out these tweeners. The rebuild is more expansive than just introducing a new QB. Wilks complained about this very thing as it pertains to the roster, guys are too light.
  2. In actuality I think having talked to Lane Kiffin they we're impressed with him and that's where that "young offensive mind with HC experience" comes from. Just a hunch. IF that was they case I could see why Corral would be stashed until Lane Monty Kiffin comes in with his system for HIS QB. If that is anything close to truth, just my hunch, some of you will...
  3. The Panthers made a bet that Corral would succeed, they made a financial investment in Matt Corral not ripps mouth. They scouted him, studied him, they interviewed his coach, they brought him to the facility for a pre draft visit, they drafted him and everyone signed off on it including Fitts and Dave Tepper himself and the lot of folk here think they're going into the draft lusting after..... absolutely nobody because there is no clear top QB in this draft. Get real. Drake Maye is the truth. I could see it if HE was in the draft but he's not. That's who you go all out for.
  4. You should sell crystal balls because you're ahead of all of us, even the Panthers. Corral will play. Get ready.
  5. As it stands you're jumping the gun. You have no idea what Matt Corral will be in the NFL nor do I, the only people who have a good idea are at 800S Mint St. They've already invested in Matt Corral and are more determined than you to get that pick right. You have another agenda entirely. Matt Corral is in the building none of these other "dream scenario's" are. I'm dealing with reality. What's real is he's going to get his shot, they loved him and they went through the trouble to bring him here, yet he has no shot?! Lol.
  6. I'm not the one putting college kids on a pedestal above an already scouted, drafted, vetted NFL talent who will have almost a year of being in the NFL before these rookies even sniff the field. That would be ignorant.
  7. Carson Strong isn't a Panther. Matt Corral IS. Time for the hate to stop.
  8. They're comparing an NFL football player to college kids. Of course.
  9. Don't forget "Matt Corral sucked in the preseason" he was supposed to make all the 3rd/4th team guys look like all pros if he was all that. Huddle logic.
  10. Corrals contract, if he plays well or good enough to win, could be gold. In that case having a "3rd rounder" playing like a first rounder won't command the salary of a high first rounder who did the same. We should all be rooting the Panthers to have hit the jackpot on Corral because not having the huge expense of a "first rounder" come contract time allows a team to put money into the D line which wins championships.
  11. Levis is my value pick this year. He had a different OC last year who has since gone to the NFL. There's something different about the way he's being used, I'll keep a eye on that but to me Levis is a great value at late first early second. A couple drafts ago I was begging the Panthers to draft Micah Parsons and package picks/players to move up in the second to get Kyle Trask. Trask is 6'5" 240lbs with NFL experience now, he's a guy a team could target and prosper with much like Jake Delhomme. He would be the unquestioned starter with 2yrs under his belt right now and Parsons would be our all pro. Hindsight. So for this draft if I were the Panthers I'd go Anderson/Murphy and trade up into the first (15-20) with all that capital to try and get Levis IF you're talking about winning. Even if Levis sits behind Corral a year or two or you package one of the two later for something else, optionality.
  12. Once again if you didn't read my response to nonsense like this is I'm not picking frontrunners, I'm picking for value. It's easy to say who the frontrunner is. Herbert was my value pick that year, Burrow was the frontrunner and for a value pick like our guy Corral every opportunity is magnified by 100X. Strong would be a great addition (value) to our QB room. Trask would beat out PJ. He's a 6'5" bulldozer.
  13. There's a couple reasons I call him Young Lion, the first is HEART. Second, golden cat. Believe!
