Lord have mercy that is abysmal there is no excuse for these defenders to not know where they are supposed to be sweet Jesus. What do these coaches do with these backups during the week run a simple freaking defense and expect them to at least be able to tackle and be in the right spot

One of the things that drives me crazy about this Seattle connection they seem to like to bring in players like they had in Seattle…or guys like their next coaching assignment there is only one Mike Evans. Agree completely ..and I’ve never seen a group on defense being so unaware of where the play is going and the ball carrier is…it is mind boggling …I’m honestly not sold on Tevin either…sure he makes tackles but how many are for no gain or a loss There are many things that can be used to justify keeping Evero but there are just as many that justify not… 1. key players not wanting to stay in his system…Luvu among them…and Horn may not be such a slam dunk resign either he has finally gotten vocal about how is used in Evero’s system 2. his wanting DJ Johnson and the Panthers moving up to take him… 3. His refusal, or inability, to adjust his system scheme to the personnel he has or in game conditions 4. he had several of his hand picked players this year, players with a history with him, players he wanted brought in with not much impact 5. And the biggest over his two years, the key stat of ‘points allowed’ was not great last year, this year abysmal…historically abysmal …you cannot keep your job when the side of the ball you own is in the ‘historical fail’ category in all of NFL history I’ve grown sick of Canales’ blowing sunshine up people’s butts over this they need to move on from Evero..for his sake and the franchise’s. He will land on his feet but it cannot be in charlotte Atlanta scoring more than 37 points this weekend will cement David Tepper’s time in Carolina…the DC he had to have and would not let leave last year, will immortalize his franchise as the all time worst defense in the points allowed in a season category IN NFL HISTORY well done Panthers…well done ..that’s some achievement right there personally, I hope they make it

I really feel he needs to be just a HC and not the oc play caller he isnt exactly stellar at it very few nfl HC coaches can do that role and he is no Andy Reid it is time for him to be the HC so that all parts of the team have one leader who sets the tone vs working in 3 separate solos to ensure the team plays quote ‘our brand of football’ whatever that is

But rather than take the same offer from the panthers, He left for Quinn vs Evero and Morgan there is no doubt injuries hurt there is no doubt these are not all pros there is also no doubt these are pro players. they practice all the time. For some the Panthers are not their first teams. They should know where to line up and for god’s sake have the ‘want to’ to tackle It is egregious and it is not acceptable people need to stop with excuses for this coaching staff That defensive sustem has been in place for 2 years and Canales needs to be more than an average glorified play caller and start being the a HC not an ‘aw shucks’ mouthpiece
