Steelers fans will take over the Stadium and city It will be unbearable worse for me, on the west coast, resigned to the nfl network and you know it will be a steelers broadcast team. It was ungodly bad with sheduer 2 weeks ago Last game, tried listening on panthers radio and watching on espn live last week but the delay between the 2 drove me nuts so as bad as they were playing, found something else to do

The Panthers have an effort problem
raleigh-panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t care if Young never says a word I don’t care if he screams like his hair is on fire i care that he executes at a high level and is the reason the Panthers wins games, not lose them I care that he lifts the offense up and makes plays when things are not going well for himself and others That is what good nfl QBs do, they find a way They set or change the tone. I want him to start finding a way and setting a positive tone i care that he wins games when they matter, when the team is an underdog so far, that has not happened The Panthers have given him a quality line, Quality running game, more say in the offense, Decent receivers …a qb guru for coach it is time if not this year, win -
They had best show out in Week 1 there are zero,I mean zero, excuses for that offense defense, haven’t play together yet and they still have Mr Soft and Predictable as DC I expect break downs at times …but that offense returns all starters except Tremble and both Mayes and Brady are veterans and can play LG and know the system not up for any participation awards this season they can save that practice energy for Jacksonville. I’m sick of the, winning, or looking competitive, when it doesn’t matter.

no we dont know and I want you to agree with you however the performance says otherwise again, the tape dont lie, either there is hustle and drive or it isnt. They remind me of the Saints or the Bucs back in the day … glad to be here. blame the organization. Coaching. Whatever All i know is it is pretty shitty being the poor side of the outcome all the time -

The Panthers have an effort problem
raleigh-panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It seems like this is an ongoing problem with this franchise over and over again year after year Of all the teams I watched in preseason, the Panthers are bottom 3 yes, I know, we all know, ‘it is pre season’ or ‘there is no depth’ however, these players should understand they are putting their work on tape for the rest of the league, if they don’t care enough to do that, why are they even in Charlotte -
Good observations

Agree he can either play or he cant and cant afford a slow start anymore either It is tome to fish or cut bait …and what is more troublesome, to me,…cant continuously game plan around his shortcomings And he definitely has them i hope he performs for the benefit if all but if he is mediocre again, change is needed

I am totally struggling to understand what Evero is doing one of the top receiver in the league and he is not being challenged off the line. taking candy from a baby easy TD -
Head coach Dave Canales has named Austin Corbett as the team's starting center for the 2025 season. He explained the choice on Monday afternoon, crediting both Corbett and challenger Cade Mays for their work this summer.

Thank you for doing this. Much appreciated

Evero?!?! Should he be on the Hot Seat
raleigh-panther replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep the fact that Luvu wanted to leave for almost the same money told me all I needed to know not saying Frankie was Luke but he was the best we had at the time. Thompson had been falling down the slide of age and injuries for a couple of years -

His contract is up this year, I believe I suspect that will be his end here …hopefully I’m not a fan but my opinion doesn’t matter Panthers can do far better -
Some excerpts Leaving out repetitive history “The Carolina Panthers got whipped in their first preseason game, 30-10, by a Cleveland Browns team that went 3-14 a year ago and was barely playing any of its starters Friday night. And you know what? It really wasn’t a bad thing. I wouldn’t worry about it much. When it mattered — when the Panthers were playing their first-teamers — quarterback Bryce Young looked just like he did at the end of last season. In other words, he was pretty terrific. ….. The Browns’ Sanders did go 14-for-23 for 138 yards, and his famous father Deion did write on X “Yes Lawd! Yes!” But Sanders’ two touchdown passes came against Carolina’s second- and third-stringers. When the Panthers’ first-teamers were in for the first two drives, Sanders and the Browns had zero points. In other words, Carolina’s depth needs some major work. No surprise there, and that’s going to catch up with the Panthers if it doesn’t improve dramatically. But the Panthers’ starters left the game ahead, 7-0, midway through the first quarter. And Carolina’s touchdown came due to Young making the sort of off-platform, freelance play that he showcased so well at the end of last season. . The third-year quarterback moved Jalen Cokeraround on a scramble drill, extended the play by running to his right and then threw a gorgeous five-yard TD pass to Coker after the wide receiver found an open spot. This came in the same drive after Legette had been ejected from the game.… — There were trouble spots, though, in this 30-10 loss: The Panthers’ run game was mostly non-existent. With offensive coordinator Brad Idzik taking a turn at calling plays — Canales will do so during the regular season — at one point Carolina had nine run plays and 32 passes. The Panthers ended up rushing 14 times for only 40 yards. The defensive reserves. Sanders by and large had a good bit of time to throw, and he frequently was dumping it down to guys who were open by 2-3 yards. Cleveland’s two quarterbacks combined for a 113.5 pass rating (Young had a 137.5 in limited work, but Carolina’s other two QBs were less than 90). Losing by 20 points to a three-win team that hardly played any of its own starters. Again, this is problematic. Not to be able to turn Sanders over even once isn’t good, either, especially given this was his first NFL action and he played nearly three quarters. … Meanwhile, Carolina veteran backup QB Andy Dalton threw an interception and Panther Trevor Etienne fumbled a punt after his own teammate got blocked into him. “Part of our play style is playing smart,” Canales said. “I didn’t feel like we did that. I felt like there was sloppiness.” The good news? Canales said he probably plans to play Young and the first-team offense for three series against Houston in the next preseason game, rather than the two series they got Friday night. The connection between Young and McMillan can look dazzling even in these very early stages. We all need to see some more of that. Said McMillan, when asked to talk about both of the game’s starting quarterbacks: “I mean, I think Shedeur went out there and killed it, obviously. (But) I take my quarterback anytime, any day of the week. So shout out (No.) 9, man.”

Panthers playbook Cox and Rhea review of the game
raleigh-panther replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It will be interesting to see what Young does, or doesn’t do, this year and the option year decision cheaper to do it this year than year 4 lot of the podcasters were high on his performance, limited though it was im keeping an open mind though I just don’t feel he was worth what was paid for him and that’s not his fault and over and done he is never going to be a Jayden Daniels due to his physical limitations but maybe he can be a very good game manager…who knows. Surprises do happen in life, some good, some not so good. -
Worth a watch, listen, if you have the time highlights 1. Shuffle on offline do to Lewis’ shoulder strain issue. Had this been a regular game. Either Mayes or Brady C would’ve started 2 Izik called plays, not canales 3. Young looked great had it not been for 2 drops, he would’ve been 6 of 6 4. Tet’s drops not a concern. Another podcast talked about concerns by some about the lack of separation from Tet…stated. It a concern given Tet’s catch radius 5. Coker makes the team need a pass caught, Coker is the guy 6. Defense first team showed pressure on qb, praise for the rookies and that they will continue to grow together Defense was talked about around 2/3s of the way through video if you want to scroll through it Only mention of Sanders was that he played well. 7. Calm down. It is preseason. It is one month before a game is played Both teams didn’t have full compliments of starters on the field lot more was said …in greater detail. ..if u listen

Not a lot of intensity out there tonight . that is disappointing…particularly for the fans there and particularly after all the press about how great things were going in practice Ce le vie

It is preseason gotta remember no game planning for this game, he isn’t against our full defense and more importantly,, it isn’t regular game speed but I’m honestly sick of the nfl network framing this as the redemption tour for Sanders it is also disappointing that the Panthers weren’t more prepared. Same old same old then again, I don’t remember the Patriots or Chiefs being too concerned about preseason games
