  1. I know You know, it isn’t just the 4th qtr how many times has the offense scored more than 20 points …and they are very poor in all offensive categories
  2. Here’s another i didn’t know until watching some of the film reviews they had Derek Brown dropping back inpass coverage on the penalty he received by hitting Shough in what world do you have your best interior lineman doing that
  3. He apparently was hurt and tried to play through it a person could argue he helped or hurt the team by doing that…there are coaches and medical personnel that could’ve,,should’ve helped with the decision
  4. Yes and some of the free agents he bought in, questionable it is just not working with Evero. Having one or two defensive impressive games a year, isn’t enough and to be frank, most of those times it was those teams beating themselves they need young, incentive and aggressive in their DC , not passive most of the times and aggressive at inopportune times
  5. @cranky Augmenting your offensive analysis Saints figured out panthers D Sad Just sad The panthers need a new DC. Many takeaways but here is the 2 biggest. One nickel routes, the coverage of the nickel back on offensive slot receiver tells offense that the out routes will be wide open. Ie. Get nickel back to sit and the other 2 DBs rarely challenge and are yards away leaving wr wide open The same concept on screen plays Two. continued positional issues in a defense that is run over and over
  6. I watch him all the time and have shared him a time or two he is pretty good most times
  7. Yes previous poster i took as saying ‘cut’ young…that isnt happening
  8. Yep not buying the hopium anymore 0 and 12 or is it now 0 and 13 when favored will do that
  9. They have boxed themselves into this position i dont see them unboxing until 2027 you remember Kellen Moore interviewed for head coach here …he took a qb that people laughed at this year. No one is laughing now i dont know that i trust Morgan or Canales to do the same.
  10. I agree with you they have a game manager at Qb. They have a game manger in Evero. They have a head coach who is a game manager as OC because he has a game manager at qb even Canales cute, little mantra of ‘do right longer’ goes to game management hard to win games depending on other teams making mistakes and your team making none as a winning strategy The nfl isnt like that It is the unexpected and adjusting successfully to the unexpected young played well for young. but in the NFL that is not enough and everything has to be perfect Nothing is perfect in a nfl game Young also continues with horrible footwork and that causes many of his issues. Year 3, still there i dont know where this team is going but i feel the Canales snd Young path is not going to get this team back to a higher path. Losing twice to the Saints is egregious Canales has not been that successful against Bowles either and evero cant stop Mike Evans to save his very soul it will be interesting sunday
  11. I would say the Panthers do a good enough job killing themselves The list is long starting with a new DC and OC not named Canales or idzik
  12. Taylor Moton also slipped and missed his block entirely The oline”s performance was less than stellar in the 4th qtr
  13. As OC. He needs to be prepared for this he isnt 4th and less than a yard, any competent offense is going to get that there are any number of things he couldve done and he should be practicing them i dont lnow what more to say i believe it is time for either a new OC. A New backup. We also can live with less than 180 and 1 TD from a starting qb
  14. Or calling that play on the stringer run blocking side. Lewis and ickey neither corbett or moton are what they used to be. Particularly later in games
  15. I know. 100% pretty pissed when i read this no excuse. None dalton is drawing millions to be nothing nur a baby sitter. Put him out There
  16. So glad to hear, that after 3 years with Young, 2 years with Canales and Idzik are ‘worjong on things’ related to getting extremely short yardage because they dont want to use young on sneaks. It is mind boggling It isnt like they havent known his height and weight up close and personal if i were the owner, id be finding a better OC or a better QB to come in for Young if they insist on keeping him it ised to be done fir Brees all the time Why Panthers’ Dave Canales won’t run a QB sneak with Bryce Young Mike Kaye [email protected] 7 hrs ago Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young scrambled on a broken play on third-and-3 with 11:47 remaining in the fourth quarter on Sunday at Caesars Superdome. He ran for two yards, just shy of the first-down marker against the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Dave Canales, with a 17-7 lead on the road, decided to go for it on fourth-and-1 from the New Orleans 37-yard line. Canales called a handoff from under center to running back Chuba Hubbard, but the ball-carrier was curbed at the line of scrimmage, forcing a turnover on downs within field-goal range. The Panthers eventually lost, 20-17, in the NFC South showdown. A lot of teams would go for a QB sneak on fourth-and-inches in enemy territory. But the Panthers have yet to try that during Young’s three-year career in Carolina. According to Canales, the decision to not use Young on QB sneaks is about physics. “He goes about 190 pounds,” Canales said with a shoulder shrug. “And when you have a 220, 230-pound quarterback leaning on a center, that’s an advantage. When you’re not putting a bunch of force that way, I don’t see that as an advantage.” “The other part is I like to leverage off of some of the formations that we use to throw shots down the field,” Canales added. “You get in a third-and-inches, and you’re in dive or belly type of plays, it allows you to try to throw a keeper or throw a play-action (passes), and we’ve had some success over the course of the last two seasons, finding explosives in short-yardage at a higher rate than most teams who are going to sneak it.” The logic behind not using Young — officially listed as 5-foot-10 and 204 pounds — in a pile is sound, if not obvious. But the lack of a sneak play also highlights a dearth of trusty baseline options in the tightest of short-yardage situations. “It’s great to have a sneak,” Canales said. “It’s great when you can — man, it’s a half-yard or something — and you know you can execute it with your quarterback. It’s great to have in your back pocket. But that’s not our style. So, we just try to maximize our approach.” When it was suggested that a tight end sneak might make sense during Monday’s press conference, Canales said that he and offensive coordinator Brad Idzik are trying to find new solutions. “We’re working on stuff,” Canales said.
  17. I think I read they are keeping him out there for his blocking skills lol so, last pick in rd 1, that they traded up to get…..blocking I think they just use him wrong. He is never going to be that polished route tree runner…if they wanted that Ladd was there guy
  18. Not good Really not good Rozeboom was a desperation, stop gap pickup..but come on Jaycee
  19. Based on Eugene Robinson and Jonathan Stewart’s analysis in different podcasts, the play call should’ve been a straight sneak or dive the time for young to turn to turn and hand the ball off plus the line plus Chuba gave too much opportunity for the defense to react they played the game on offense and defense. I have not. I’ll take their word for it
  20. And if the field goal was missed, you’d be saying he should have gone for it. it was inches. A pro team that can’t get inches should be on the field much less thinking they are in playoff contention it was a poor play call selection and worse execution
