I could see if a player put their hands on a ref or made a threatening gesture. But this is ridiculous lol
-
Is everything a fuging penalty???
-
These referees are incredibly incompetent. Nfl needs full time professional refs that go through extensive training
-
Neither of these teams wants to win this game lol

Jets kicker misses TWO field goals in a row. Stop kicking field goals dummies!!!!!
-
Rodgers definitely has a special chemistry with certain players. Seeing this with Lazard tonight. But he's had this in the past with several players including Devante Adams, Jordy Nelson, etc.

So many penalties in this game

Buffalo is getting HOSED with penalties!!! Wow! NFL does not want the Jets to lose

All these missed field goals are hilarious

Good thing about paying Horn is that he's been severely injury prone. So he's not gonna have much leverage with any team for a huge deal. Idk if I'd pay Diontae Johnson. Would be nice to have but he's definitely not worth near 30+ mil a year like top WRs. He might try to bend the Panthers over because he's our only reliable #1 WR at this point. He's really still a #2 WR imo. He's just a #1 on our squad. He's not cooking dudes on go routes for long TDs or out muscling DBs in the end zone every Sunday. But he is deadly in the middle of the field and gets open which is what a WR2 should be doing.

If We Don't Win Another Game. Do We Make Any Trades??
Hoenheim replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Underrated comment here. There's basically a huge tax for players willing to sign with the worst team in the NFL for the last couple years. Nobody is going to want to play for the Panthers for a fair deal unless they can't get anything higher on the market with another team -
What Do You Think About Our Rookies Thus Far?

Yea I forgot to mention Coker. Dude is smooth with good hands for sure. I've been saying take Mingo off the field and give his snaps to Coker -

I still remember that one fan that showed up to the draft wearing a custom made CJ Stroud Panthers jersey. People were making fun of him but man that is a haunting image with hindsight now.

Fitterer also had that mentality and it didn't get us anywhere -
We've played 6 games, so about 35% of the season has passed already. I know it's early but this class already looks more promising than 2023, which might have been the worst draft in panthers franchise history. Legette looks pretty good, he looks explosive. Maybe he hasn't gotten huge bombs yet but he's demonstrated that he's strong and fast with the ball and is a nice red zone target. He's probably gonna get something like 500 yards 5 or 6 TDs by seasons end, which is pretty decent for a rookie WR on a bad team. He's basically what the Panthers thought Mingo would be last year. Brooks obviously hasn't played but he could turn this rookie class into a slam dunk if he's good. I'd expect him to get sprinkled in to the later half of the year, but don't expect him to get a ton of carries with Chubba running so well and Canales apparent aversion for running the ball. Wallace has been a pleasant surprise. I haven't been watching him super closely, but I like his tackling ability and high motor. JT Sanders has been okay ish. Not so sure about Smith Wade or Crumedy. I know Barrett was traded to Seattle. We very very rarely hit on 4th to 7th rounders historically. So even getting a solid role player out of any of these dudes would be a huge win.

I wasn't specifically watching them but this looks encouraging

Would you really be willing to throw a blank check at Diontae Johnson tho for example? Could backfire badly and you let him walk for free. They should sign him literally right now because he'll just get expensive in the off season. Or just decide to go elsewhere if we keep losing. Would you pay big bucks to Chubba and Diontae and Horn??? I doubt we keep all 3 realistically. -
Bit early for this question but we can all see how this season is trending. I thought this would be an interesting question. What would you personally do at QB in 2025 off-season? And what do you think the Panthers would do? I would draft almost all defense and get a reasonable vet QB like Flacco or keep Dalton for the cheap. And keep building the team until we've demonstrated that were a playoff ish caliber team and ready to get a QB. And ideally we'd sit that QB like Packers do. What I expect. Is Canales will be pressured to get a QB in 2025. Maybe not in R1 but he could easily take one in R2 or R3. Especially if the QBs this year aren't expected to rank highly on draft boards (similar to the Pickett/Corall draft). He'll probably get his vet qb of his own choosing this off season as well. What Minnesota is doing is interesting because Darnold is a Free Agent after this year. Either Darnold could come available or they keep him and trade off JJ McCarthy possibly.

The real question is whether Chubba gets resigned in the off season or not... Would be nice to sign him to a reasonable deal and pair him up with Brooks for the foreseeable future. But IDK if he's taking any discounts or even wants to come back to Carolina. This might be the only off season where he can get a real bag and I doubted that would be coming from the Panthers after drafting Brooks. Our priority this off season will probably be locking Horn and possibly Diontae Johsnson up imo.

I'm curious as to what you think about this. You think we trade off any players before the deadline if we keep losing? Or will we be quiet and just sit on the draft picks we have. If you think it will happen, who will be traded and for what value? We currently have 9 draft picks. The 2nd rounder from the Rams is looking pretty good right now. Most of our draft picks are mid-late rounders though.

Best thing about the game was that 2 Minute drive before the half. JT Sanders, Legette, Coker. That gave me some encouragement for the future
