I was charged with an A1 misdemeanor myself (assault on government official) along with about 4 other lesser misdemeanors after a big fight at a concert, I got no sentence. I didn't even get probation. Just a bunch of community service and alcohol counseling (which was BS but better than the alternative) However, I can't remember how I pled. I think I plead guilty to the lesser charges and they dropped the assault. Hell I can't remember. All I know is it put a distinct end to my Tommy Too-tough days!

He may not get sentenced to jail time at all. Just probation and/or community service. Especially, if he has never been in trouble before

Even if guilty of both crimes he wouldn't get a year sentence. Max is 60 days per charge, and if he has a clean record is likely to just get probation

I am talking about extreme examples here, but if a female came up and shot or stabbed my wife I would probably hit her. But any other situation I don't see any reason you should hit a woman

I'm not a lawyer but... Greg isn't likely going to jail for this if he has no past assaults. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets suspended a couple of games though

Whether is it in the context of domestic violence or not doesn't matter I don't believe. However, I know where the problem lies and why I may have been confused by your bullet point that you posted. 14-33.©1 is what you are referring to and you are indeed correct that it states "inflicts serious injury upon another" is an A1 misdemeanor But 14-32.4 says "any person who assaults another person and inflicts serious bodily injury is guilty of a Class F felony" All of these laws have the caveat of "Unless the conduct is covered under some other provision of law providing greater punishment" Which is why I questioned it, what you are charged with will be determined by how serious the personal injury is. If you just go to the hospital and get some stitches it would be the law you are referring to, if you are in the hospital for a long period of time, or have life threatening injuries, or become mutilated or disfigured you will be charged with a felony. On several of the more serious things you listed there are actually different types, for instance, assault with a deadly weapon very well can be charged as a serious felony offense. Depends on what the accused is being charges with doing

Both are misdemeanor charges, not that that should make any difference on your view of what allegedly happened. Just putting it out there

Not going back through the thread but has anyone read any of The Beyonders series? By Brandon Mull. I just picked it up the first book and just started it. Just wanted some opinions.

Oh, and I probably played Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic all the way through 20 times. For some reason I don't like first person shooters, so I have never really been able to get into the Halo or Call of Duty games.

Mario and Zelda probably had the biggest impacts on gaming. But today's games are pretty damn good. I like three types of games. RPGs, sports, or games with good stories to tell. Naughty Dog has been crushing it with great cinematic type games like Uncharted and Last of Us. Read Dead Redemption was one of my favorite games of all time. RPG games don't get much better to play than Elder Scrolls or Mass Effect.

Only problem is it might have spoilers for season 2 of tbr american show

The British version is awesome too. Check it out on Netflix. Only three episodes per chapter but they are about 1 1/2 hour each.
