  1. If Luke has to miss a game, this is one of the ones to miss. Houston's qb problems make them much less of an offensive threat. He needs to be at full strength when the Aint's come to Town.
  2. Fwiw, only one guy said something really stupid. Here was Texan fan response to him. Yeah, it is just one guy. Here is what one of their fans said in response. Most of their fans seem fairly realistic, but I do think this will be a tough game for us.
  3. Struggling kicker with a long kick that only gives you a one point lead and three minutes left with a not so good defense? That seems like a no brainer in going for it.
  4. Philly's d has picked it up this half. The int got things going for them, gave the offense an easy score. And they have held Atlanta to a pair of fg's. Still anyone's game though.
  5. Should have been another pick there. They got a little lucky.
  6. Well, Matt Ryan trying to get Philly back in the game.
  7. I sure hope Tillman stays healthy this year. If he does, we could have a really good secondary.
  8. Three offensive linemen got mentioned. Can't help but like that.
  9. With the exception perhaps of quarterback, no one player will make or break an offense.
  10. The entire body has to be past the line of scrimmage as well as the ball. Doesn't matter if the feet are down or not. http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/rulebook/pdfs/11_Rule8_ForwardPass_BackPass_Fumble.pdf Note: It is a forward pass from beyond the line of scrimmage if the passer’s entire body and the ball are beyond the line of scrimmage when the ball is released, whether the passer is airborne or touching the ground. The penalty for a forward pass thrown from beyond the line is enforced from the spot where the ball is released.
  11. I don't know. I am not sure how much we can really glean from a preseason game regarding the performance of any unit. I vaguely remember a preseason a few years ago in which our defensive line dominated, and lead the preseason in sacks. And then it seems we had one of our worse seasons regarding defensive pressure. I could be wrong though. And how many games do we see during the season when a offensive line (or any other unit) starts out struggling and then settles down as the game goes on? Since they will only be playing a few series, there is no time to settle down. IMO, its more interesting to see how various individuals perform, especially those that are borderline on making the team.
  12. I think that Steve Smith would probably have to have at least one maybe two rings to get in. A Superbowl MVP would probably help a lot as well. Or perhaps if he plays longer at a higher level than most think he will.
