  2. Fwiw, I feel some sympathy for DJ Moore. One of the better receivers in the league, and has never ever had a qb that could consistently deliver the ball to him. If he played for Buffalo, KC, or Green Bay, he might be a pro bowl wr.
  3. Imo, Purdy is better than Jones, not as good as Hurts. My point was that Jalen Hurts was thought of as a qb who would doom Philly to mediocrity. I remember us losing a game to him during the Rhule term and some of the post were "we lost to a team qb'd by Jalen ffing Hurts" I think Purdy is a adequate qb. He has proven that with the right team around him, he can win. It might be hard to win Superbowls, but then only one team a year wins those anyway. The forty niners have to do what they can to put their team in the playoff discussion and then let the chips fall. Constantly reaching for the next great qb is almost always a losing proposition.
  4. I wonder if we could find similar threads about Jalen Hurts from a few years ago?
  5. Tank for Tua Tank for Trevor Suck for Luck All of those worked out so well.
  6. I actually prefer it. While we are playoff longshots, if we do make a run, it would be best to to get a break before the final run in the final few weeks of the season.
  7. I only saw him play one game (against Tampa), but he looked horrible.
  8. If you look at the dead money on their cap, its already pretty high. Lattimore alone is 30 million. Most of their bigger contracts don't seem to buy them much in terms of trading or cutting. Best to play with what you have this year, and then start doing the cuts after this season. We might get to see Taysom Hill at qb a lot.
  9. Some. Anything they already paid him such as this years ten million bonus, will still be a cap/dead money hit. But I read that it does clear about 30 million of his large cap hit.
  10. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45068251/unc-says-bill-belichick-girlfriend-welcome-school So much ado about nothing. That being said, it doesn't bother me a bit if UNC has issues with the BB hire.
  11. I don't think its anything deeper than cap savings. We are very tight in terms of cap space. And cutting Clowney saves more than just about anyone else we could reasonably cut on the dline. That being said, I am a little concerned that we are going to be relying so much on unproven rookies.
  12. I don't think he can go back to college, so why would NIL matter?
  13. Yeap, cutting him would be absolutely pointless. Bring him in with a year off next year, and see what he can do. If he can't contribute, then cut him.
  14. Should have done this last year. There really wasn't much of a point in playing him when we did last year. That being said, I hope the front office learns their lesson about drafting seriously injured players.
  15. With the money and draft picks we have spent on our wide receiver group, and with the way Canales has said he wants to run the ball, a breakout season for a Panthers tight end could be 30-40 catches. For him and Tremble, quality will matter more than quantity. Make some clutch catches, be a solid end zone target, and that should be sufficient.
  16. I imagine Robert Kraft is wondering why these guys just can't use his preferred Spa?
  17. I am going to go out on a limb here and say Tucker is not a likely candidate.
  18. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/breaking-news/article/ravens-release-kicker-justin-tucker-who-was-accused-of-sexual-misconduct-by-16-different-women-205922400.html Apparently, he has the same issue as Deshaun Watson. What an idiot.
  19. The bigger question is how much would it cost to replace him? If we were to let him, and bring in someone better, would eat up a large chunk of cap space, probably more than if we signed him to a long term contract. And using a draft pick on a replacement means we won't be able to use that pick on another area of concern and while we could get someone better, we might also get someone worse.
  20. Did it? Its not like he is the first pro athlete to cheat. In fact, its fairly common. Not that many get caught in the manner he did and I suppose that might have more of an impact on his reputation, but in a few years, I doubt this will matter much.
  21. Most of the cases I have heard of involve one woman suing another woman for messing around with her husband. I think in this case, the guy is going after Steve because he knows Steve is wealthy. Otherwise, they would probably just divorce and be done with it.
  22. I think if you are willing to cheat on your own spouse, you don't really care if the other person is married or not.
