Panthers plane ran off runway at Charlotte after preseason loss
TD alt replied to LegioX's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's all skid marks. -
I mean, I appreciate your trying to make it analytical, but, honestly, we'll know it when we see it. A "jump" is relative. He has to jump leaps and bounds before I'll be happy. Even if he makes a jump, but it doesn't measure up to the bare minimum of a franchise level QB, I just won't understand what we're doing here. I know that what a "franchise QB" is is a matter of definition, but I still believe we'll know it when we see it, and stats aren't going to give us that answer.

Who impressed & who needs to get his ass cut (Preseason week 1)

I've heard that there are many many categories. Believe it or not (I didn't until my wife proved me wrong), there are some old women on Only Fans that make thousands every month. -

I mean, watching young people f*** ain't exactly must-see TV. -
Scot, glad to know you'll be well in time enough to see the beginning of our magical season. Keep pounding!

Never had it, but it's on my list as one was newly built in town. I love Cajun-inspired food, so I'm kinda stoked.

Have you been to Dewayne's up the street? If you like Christmas, you gotta go to Dewayne's, preferably while you still have the most choice in ornaments. It is quite pricey though.

I mean, guys...no starters. What did you really expect? We already know that we have a depth problem. That being said, I think Chaisson, Leota & Lamar Jackson have shown a little promise. The run defense actually looked decent. Mingo & TMJ had a drop, but that happens in wet conditions. It's not like we have learned a lot tonight, because we already knew...

Johnston County

You're the one that was really comparing them. I have been to Chick-fil-A like once in the last five years. I was just saying that they're busier than Bojangles, but Bojangles gets plenty of business. McDonald's is still the most popular, by the way, by far.

Jack hangs on to the ball too long
-
The injury bug will have its blood.

Well, I'd rather eat that than the bland chicken at Chick-fil-A. Zaxby's kinda sucks. The only thing they make decent are the chicken tenders, and they only work because of the Zax sauce. The wings are always bony & overcooked. Honestly, I don't eat fried chicken that much. I much prefer grilled or baked chicken. I'm not a fan of cardiac arrest.

The D-line may be better than we thought.
-
It couldn't be different out here. Bojangles has a steady stream of business, and especially during the morning and rush hour. Other than Chick-fil-A (which I'll never understand), Bojangles probably has the most cars I've ever seen wrap around a restaurant.

Thu night NFL preseason...during the Olympics...
TD alt replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's not odd at all when your team sucks. We talkin' about preseason. Not the season. We talkin' about preseason. Not the season when I go out there and die to watch every game like it's my last. We talkin' about preseason. How silly is that? We talkin' about preseason... Keep it all in perspective, bro. -

I mean, that's great for people who can watch it during the day, but most people are working or going to school during the day, and that's why they re-broadcast it during the evenings. -

I mean, haters gonna hate, but Sir Charles, a.k.a. the Round Mound of Rebound, with his somewhat surly self, said that the Olympics are the world's greatest sporting event, and I tend to agree. Just watching Cole Hocker and Quincy Hall dig deep was fantastic. So did Noah Lyles by the thinnest of margins. There's something about seeing desire and a person willing themselves to victory that just never gets old. I'm all for it! -
Should I watch it? I mean, I generally watch the Olympics at night. I believe the Men's 200 is tomorrow, not to mention the Women's 400 meter hurdles. Yes, I know the live races will be tomorrow afternoon (and I believe school is out), so...I guess I could make room for both, but I may have some significant family business to take care of that may require my attention. I don't know, it's looking like I'm going to forego the Charlotte sh¡t show tomorrow evening, and I rarely do that even in the preseason.

Bryce Young won't play in preseason opener

I mean, who are we kidding? If he's gonna suck, he's gonna suck. A couple of series in a couple of preseasons games ain't gonna matter. Y'all can fool yourselves if you want. I guess it'll make you feel better. Me? The regular season is where the rubber meets the road, and I'm fully prepared for us to end up in a ditch. I won't be the one driving. I'll be drinking though...

There is a "short, medium and long," as classified by the NFL. Short is anything less than 10 yards. Medium is 10 to 19, and long is 20 and over. Now why it's that way, I don't know. I'm sure that the statisticians had their reasons, but I can assure you that it had nothing specifically to do with Bryce Young. It's likely that those are the most numerous types of passes, and perhaps there is no significant difference between moving the ball 20 yards down field or 50 yards down field when it comes to actual winning. I don't know. You also have to think that there is something said about using ball control and the clock to bring about successful outcomes as well. Like I said, I don't know. But I can tell you with surety that it had nothing to do with supporting Bryce Young.

He hasn't played up to first round status, much less the first pick. Let's keep it a buck.
