Positives From Game...

Yes, there are some positives I took away from the game yesterday:

Dan Connor/linebackers: The guy is fuggin awesome. He had 13 tackles and our lone sack. Hell, the linebackers were the only ones (as a group) that showed up to play. 33 Tackles between the three is pretty damn impressive.

Greg Hardy: He NEEDS more playing time. He didn't get in much early, but once he got in, he made some plays. Especially in the 4th quarter.

Mike Goodson: I thought he played with some passion out there. He was a stud on the kick returns.

Kick Returns/Coverage: See above about Goodson, however there was actually blocking out there and Captain had some good returns too. Coverage was nice too. I saw some nice tackling out there.

John Kasay: Did great on his FGs, plus he scored me some nice fantasy points :)

Steve Smith: Adding Steve Smith for Kral here. He came up big on that TD and didn't look like he had much rust (other than the one drop). If (and when) he ever gets help, he will be a monster once again.

It was like when I went to our inaugural Ericsson Stadium game...the place is awesome and great view anywhere.

It was great seeing us score the first offensive TD for 2010...and it was at least in RS, that scoreless preseasonal lack of effort I'll forget.

The fans were awesome, and never got razzzed more by the family than the fans in the old stadium.

Connor was thrilling indeed, and seeing SS on the field and score from Moore was inspiring...

BUT the ride back to NC and the fact that all I had was the feeling, early on, we'd repeat the humiliation and then by 4th it was clear we did not have "it."

Getting to the Parkway was awesome compared to BOA...but still, drove until 3:30 AM to New Bern, quiet and somehow shell shocked.

I felt no coaching sympatico from the Panthers bench, and Abh...he was just like we always see him when it's going down the toilet.
