Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford underwent surgery on his right shoulder this morning and will be sidelined for about four months.

Stafford, who suffered an injury to the same shoulder twice during the 2010 season, is expected be 100 percent by the team's minicamp in May.

According to a league source, Dr. James Andrew performed the surgery, which included an AC joint repair and a shaving of the clavicle.

Same exact surgery I had in December... good luck getting back by May dude. Mine was only one anchor and it's still a bitch. Where they shaved my clavicle off hurts like a bitch too...

Of course he has the benefit of doctors 24/7 and a full staff for PT everyday...
