Two serious questions about Kaepernick

Recommended Posts

Hoping for serious answers on two things I've noticed:

1) Why does he do press conferences in kind of scrubby clothing rather than a suit, with headphones around his neck and a hat on backwards? Why doesn't this come into criticism by anyone including media? No one even mentions it really. Is it because he wins? Why does his organization allow that? Have they just accepted that the suit thing is not his bag and don't care? Is it just because San Fran is a liberal ass city and they don't care that their face of the franchise has a conservative look?

2) Why does he always do his presser with Frank Gore sitting on his lap? I've seen this now three times... it's odd. Frank talks like he's taken too many head shots too.

( a ) He does not always do the presser with Gore. He's done it with Crabtree, Boldin, by himself, etc. He does this so as to not hog all the limelight. He's trying to reinforce to his teammates that he is there working the grind with them and doesn't think too highly of himself.

( b ) Why he dresses the way he does:

Why does Tom Brady dress like a metrosexual for press conferences? My guess is he likes the look.

why does your organization allow that? It's got a shady look to the outsider. Say my wife or friend who is not a huge football fan sees him for the first time, after seeing 90% of NFL QB's doing their presser in a suit when I have NFL network on.

Why would your organization want to allow that?

Guessed what? That I am sitting here with the highlights on seeing Kaepernick's press conference and wondering two questions that I don't know the answer to?

You're bitter about something else. You're being the bitch.

Yet you have a thread dedicated to people who want you banned? I'm just calling out what I see.

You seem confused.... the thread was a poster calling for me to be banned. Stop hyjacking threads and read other threads more slowly.

Do you know how to read? A poster wanted you banned and you have a whole bunch of other posters cosigning it.

How about you take the time to read, take a hint and join another fanbase.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
