  1. Would a Tennessee Titans RB > Fozzy/CAP/Wegher

I'd rather wait till next year's runningback heavy draft.
  2. Jon and Mark Richardson had some very nasty internal squabbles, most of which were Mark's fault by all accounts. Jon passed away a while back, so it doesn't matter much anymore. Anyone who's worked with Mark would tell you that you don't want the team in his hands.
  3. A guy he worked with at the Giants from 1998 to 2002 just got let go from the Titans, fella by the name of Marv Sunderland (new GM wants his own people).
  4. Tryout Invitations (OP updated May 5)

The Giants are actually taking a fair amount of heat for their picks, especially picking Eli Apple in the top ten. It's so much so that Jerry Resse fired back at the critics, saying they "didn't know what they were talking about".
  5. Then Panthers personnel guy Dom Anile told UNC DL Vonnie Holliday that if he were available when we picked, he'd be dancing on the table after sending in the card with his name on it. He was indeed there, and we picked Jason Peter instead. Anile made some kind of lame, asinine joke about it afterward. Sadly, the bigger joke was how bad Peter flopped, how good Holliday turned out and how stupid we wound up looking because of it all.
  6. PFT pointed out that only twelve of that year's thirty-two first rounders had their fifth year option picked up (Star obviously being one of them). A lot of folks think this year's first round was chock full of reaches, so who knows?
  7. Someone else mentioned the 2008 Draft. There's a little more to that one, and while this overall might be a little bit of a reach, it's something I've heard people mention before. In 2008, the Panthers got a very good runningback in Jonathan Stewart. They then did their first trade of a future first rounder to move up and select Jeff Otah who was also good, but unfortunately only on a short term basis. It's been pointed out that had the Panthers chosen a lineman in the first round instead of Stewart (Branden Albert, Duane Brown and Gosder Cherilus were all available) they still would have been in a position to draft Matt Forte in round two. The Panthers got a solid runner and a good blocker out of that Draft, but could conceivably have gotten those same things - and for longer in the case of Otah - without giving up that 2009 First. And yeah, there were good players not named Everette Brown who were available where we would have been picking.
  8. I wouldn't call him a bad player, but I wouldn't have taken him over Clinton Portis.
  9. The Top Ten of that draft... 1. Eric Fisher 2. Luke Joeckel 3. Dion Jordan 4.Lane Johnson 5. Ezekiel Ansah 6. Barkevious Mingo 7. Jonathan Cooper 8. Tavon Austin 9. Dee Milliner 10. Chance Warmack
  10. From what I've read, Monroe has gotten really broken down.
  11. Shakeup in the Panthers scouting department

Interestingly enough, the Titans just let go of a longtime scout named Marv Sunderland who worked with Gettleman when they were both with the Giants.
  12. Trai Turner hires new representation...

Can't help but wonder if this has any relation whatsoever to the colossal MCF he just saw Josh Norman's agent pull.
