  1. Not a huge fan of PFF but their homework is undeniable if their conclusions are not. I found this list very interesting, not only for the 2 falcons, 2 seahawks and a buc kicker, but for the other "names" on the list which were mocked to go to us. Here is the list below, click the link for their reasons. Now that the dust has settled following the 2016 NFL draft, it’s time to look back at which picks stood out — for the wrong reasons. A number of elements can lead to a selection being deemed the “worst” — the value of the player at the time of the selection, how he fits with his team’s scheme, and whether he fills a need. Here are the 16 worst from this past weekend: 1. Roberto Aguayo, K, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2. Christian Hackenberg, QB, New York Jets 3. Germain Ifedi, OT, Seattle Seahawks 4. Willie Beavers, OT, Minnesota Vikings 5. Keanu Neal, S, Atlanta Falcons 6. Artie Burns, CB, Pittsburgh Steelers 7. Deion Jones, LB, Atlanta Falcons 8. Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans 9. Jihad Ward, DE, Oakland Raiders 10. Sean Davis, DB, Pittsburgh Steelers 11. Taylor Decker, OT, Detroit Lions 12. T.J. Green, DB, Indianapolis Colts 13. Nick Vannett, TE, Seattle Seahawks 14. Will Fuller, WR, Houston Texans 15. Eli Apple, CB, New York Giants 16. Darron Lee, LB, New York Jets
2.'s Chris Benoit explains our CB situation

I still haven't heard that Tillman will definitely NOT be back. Last comment I can find is from just before the draft where he leaves the window open. Is it our window?
  3. Carolina Panthers UDFA Roster Paths

Competition is good. And I don't think the Panthers are done with bringing in more competition, especially in the secondary.
  4. Add Ditka. But it doesn't matter. I don't watch ESPN because any of these guys are either there or not there. I watch ESPN because I have a Panther Problem and can find no cure.
  5. I hate it, but gotta give them props. I think we need to a) do one ourselves and b) answer this one
  6. LOL Replaced.

Man. I like Josh Norman. Thought he handled himself very well with us, both off and on the field. Was there really not another number?
  7. 2016 NFL Draft Round 2 General Discussion

are we talking DHenry Meltdown or QBprospect Meltdown? deciding what to wear.
  8. 2016 NFL Draft Round 2 General Discussion

working with ESPN on all day, driving with NFL Radio on all day.... not a word about our pick. Sirius was getting ready to interview Ifredi as the newest seahawk live on their Chicago set. If Gettleman had picked him we would have reached for a developmental project, taking need over bpa. And you would have never heard another word about him in the national media until we played Denver. Since Seattle not only got him but traded back to get him their GM is lauded as the second coming. The media bias is real.
  9. Rapoport: Panthers Looking at Quarterbacks

except you can't stash a good backup qb on the practice squad so they are bringing in somebody to push Anderson or Webb or both. (If) Gman is looking to trade up with Titans. Wouldn't they be a lot more interested in talking to the Panthers if they thought the Panthers were targeting a backup qb?
  10. I heard "sideline to sideline" speed several times last night. Also heard the falcons wanted someone to help cover Tight Ends. I just feel like they are so far behind the curve it isn't fair. Our defense has been designed to cover TE's since Gonzales and Graham were around. Both Luke and Shaq were lauded for their ability to cover TE's. But I think they reached for him because he was a favorite of Quinn's at Florida
  11. Official Igo pie thread

haters gonna hate! I couldn't find a single mock that had us taking Butler. Nailing a draft pick in the top 10 is pretty damn good. Nailing a draft pick at #30 is downright scary. You are right, some had him going earlier (Detroit, GB, KC) but more had him out of the top round completely. And for those suggesting luck, one year is luck. He also nailed the first and second round picks (and the trade up) the year before. This is next level stuff.
  12. Another thread about the football man we just drafted

It was no accident that we took the 5th year option on Star right before this draft. We have Star under contract for two more years people! I don't get the doom and gloom? KK outplayed Star this year so he is first focus of getting a big new contract. But now Gman has leverage in contract negotiations at a position we covet and a position at which compensation around the league has been going through the roof.
  13. Carolina Panthers NFL Draft - Day 2 Predictions

Thanks, as always for the info. I have no idea why more people aren't paying more attention to the site that has correctly called last year's 1 and 2 and this years 1 at pick 30. Really impressive. That being said, do you realistically include Von Bell as those available at #62? That would be a huge fall for him and wonder why that would be? Unless teams are just tired of taking Buckeyes? Also, any other names to throw out that would have our interest if we stay put at #62?
  14. Carolina Panthers NFL Draft - Day 2 Predictions

This is why I don't like player names as part of screen names. How can we take your criticism of D Henry seriously when you are such a CAP fanboy? At least you are consistent.
