NBA Offseason Trade/Free Agency Thread

Zach Lowe article on Grantland;

"No one will take Atlanta’s money, despite a good core of players, a very good coaching staff, and an innovative style of play Mike Budenholzer has only just begun installing. Some stars won’t even meet with them. I almost wanted to hug Budenholzer when I saw him in Vegas. The most common theory among insiders for Atlanta’s lack of appeal is that players see the Hawks as a dull franchise with a dead crowd and a limited postseason history that almost always involves NBA TV.

That will turn around at some point, but just about everyone Atlanta has approached so far rebuffed the Hawks’ invitation to get in on the ground floor."

Makes sense.

Atlanta has the least amount of twitter followers of any NBA franchise followed by Sacramento Milwaukee then our Charlotte Hornets.

However before the name change we were dead last in twitter followers.

- Kris Humphries has officially agreed to a 3yr/$13m deal with Washington, the Wiz have a team option in the third year and Humphries will replace Trevor Booker who is off the Utah. No word on a sign and trade yet.

- Wolfson is also reporting that Evan Turner is Minnesota's top target.

It might just be me but I don't see LaVine and Turner getting a long.

Reminds me too much of Stephenson and Turner.

By far the worst contract of the off season.

I really like what Washington has done.

They lost Ariza, replaced him with Pierce.

They lost Booker, replaced him with Humphries.

I don't know if they've gotten better, but they certainly haven't gotten worse.

If Otto Porter puts it together, they could be a threat in the east.
