I listen to the Bills radio show on my way home from work just to get a football fix until the season starts. They open up training camp tomorrow and they were going over what to look for. One thing that came up was that rookie tackle and 7th round pick Seantrel Henderson is going to open camp as the 1st team LT. Granted Henderson was a first round talent and fell due to off the field issues, but it makes me wonder if we missed out on a chance to pick up a real steal at the end of the draft.

Side note, Cyrus Kouandjio is opening as their starting RT.. he was another one guys here wanted

We probably missed out on quite a few rough diamonds.

We missed out on Josh Gordon. We missed out on Lavon Brazil. We missed out on Vontaz Burfict. We missed out on Alfonzo Dennard. We could do this all day.

We drafted a rough diamond named Brandon Hogan and he never got his act together. We drafted Greg Hardy and it worked out well, until it didn't. It's just a crapshoot really.

You just have to hope that we "hit more than we miss" with later rounds of the draft...round 4 thru 7 are where you really have to be sharpe and do your homework.

There are always going to be guys you wish you had drafted in hindsight. Not saying I will not look back at what could have been but camp hasn't started yet. Last year we had two UDFAs (White and Lester) and two UDFAs on offense (Bell and Chandler)
start and/or significantly contribute to our football team. I know Bell brings out the worst in posters including myself but he has overachieved.

It's a week before training camp and I am about 2 1/2 glasses into a moderately priced nice tasting bottle of Spanish wine. I don't plan to panic until 15 minutes or so into the second session of TC.

The only thing that truly grinded my gears in a recent draft was going this Kugbila guy over Dave Bakhtiari.

I don't like looking back but that's my big one.

Cordy Glenn is injured and I don't know much about their line depth.

Edit: My mistake he has an illness.

He's out right now, once he is back I don't know who they will play at LT/RT. They seemed a bit down on Glenn to be honest.

How dare gettleman not attain every player that pans out! How dare he!!

He could turn out to be complete crap. Hasn't put on one NFL pad. And if there's off the field issues, he could get into problems tomorrow!

As an animal lover, I hate to beat a dead horse. But...with our cap space, and contracts, I believe Gman has done a fine job filling in the roster. I think he does know talent, and can find who he needs to fill out the positions that need help.

I am sure, if we had more money we would probably sign higher talent than what we do now. Which is why I can't wait until we get out of cap hellz. I can't wait to see how Gman operates when he has some money to play with. And by then, our main roster will be a year or two better, so he won't have to fill in so many spots like the last few years.

I truly believe right now, from top to bottom, we have the best roster we have had in what seems like forever. And I can't wait to see what we look like in few more years.

We are on the cusp of elite. Within a short period of time, we should be able to make that jump to elite. And I can definitely live with that.
