How did Carolina make it into the NIT?

Getting back on topic...obviously, UNC does indeed deserve to be in this tournament.

BTW, are the NIT games always this good? So far, these games are every bit as good as the NCAA games, IMO.

The NIT is really strong this year. It occasionally has good games, but this year has been really good.

Carolina isn't the only big name there, there are some BIG teams in it. Illinois, UConn, Virginia Tech.

Well it's sure as hell been entertaining to me, that's for sure. Carolina is playing a little better than they have pretty much all season long, but the competition is better than I thought it would be too.

Carolina sucked HARD this year. I mean they got hammered left and right in the ACC.

Kentucky beat them by 2. At Rupp. 10th place in-the-ACC Carolina.

You tell me.

We start three freshmen, and that was their 10th game or something like that. And Wall, who led UK on a 28-2 run in the first half, missed most of the second half with cramps.

28 to 2. That was fun to watch.

Well back to the original topic..Looks like UNC is making a statement why they got a NIT invite. Solid defense last night. Hopefully the Hokies will see them in NY after tonight. Which will be a tough game for me to watch.

I told you guys you would like it. You're still playing while 49 teams in the big dance are gone. You've won three games over name opponents...okay, two games over name opponents, instead of losing to Butler in the first round.

I like it because I'm watching Henson grow into a stud with every extra game they play. That kid is gonna be sick next year, and we have some shooters on the way to help him out.

He looks like he's 12, too. Put a pic of Greg Oden as a freshman next to Henson.

Well Greg Oden looked like he was 40 when he got drafted, so that's not exactly fair.:D

I think Oden was 40.....with all his injuries, I am thinking it is old age
