I bet 99% of you harping on JR for "being cheap" won't tip your waiter more than 15% even if the service is excellent, the food is great, and you just got your paycheck.
Maybe this isn't new thread worthy, but some of you guys are being ridiculous with this crap. Flame away.

Saying JR is cheap is wrong
Saying he was cheap last year has some truth to it

It's really easy to throw stones and say who is being cheap and who isn't when you're not the one writing the seven and eight figure checks.

I'm a pretty big tipper.

he wanted the young players to get experience.. that is just as true as him going cheap.. one reason he explained in the press conference..

JR is writing less than a handful of 8 figure checks, maybe 2.
He is collecting many many 9 figure checks though so I don't feel too bad for him.
I don't think he's cheap but he earned that title last year. In the media, perception is reality so it could hurt us for the foreseeable future.

What will ESPN say then?
Carolina is the worse place for new coach to start out, and they won't land Andrew Luck.

For example I pay $1700 a year for tickets and paid 6 thousand for PSLs. I think that gives me the right to whine if Richardson goes on the cheap and produces a crappy product I am compelled to pay for. Especially when I knew we would suck as did the rest of the world outside of this message board. Plus, my tip is between me and the waiter, the Panthers are a public experience witnessed by tens of thousands weekly and millions nationally. I don't think the analogy is even close to realistic.

I'd be cheap too. With the CBA and all right now, he looks like genius.
Yeah, because all the other NFL teams are going to fold? Hell no..The other owners may not net as much as JR will make, but how does that effect you or the team? I honestly do not care how much his net will be. I'm positive that he will survive.

Exactly. People don't realize that even if JR made $100MM/year (he doesn't), $6 million is 6% of his income.

Not a good comparison. 6 M would be easier in his situation. I dont care about the numbers or percents you give me, it would be easier in his situation. Come on Man.
