Hours after arriving in Detroit, the North Carolina point guard hit a downtown casino and left with a little extra cash.

"We got in last night, and Coach (Roy Williams) gave us a curfew of 1:30," Lawson said when asked if he had visited any casinos. "I went over to Greektown and won about $250. So I already had my time there. It's probably the last time I go there before the games start."

Lawson said he played only craps and earned his winnings in about an hour.

Good for him, but I guess that kind of blows Hansborough's assertion that the team was there strictly "for business" out of the water

What, you never went out for a "drink" when you got to town for a big business meeting?...

You Kentucky fans coming in here to trash the Tar Heels are so funny...

I don't think I reached any farther than you did with Calipari to Kentucky or Cutler to Chicago, I don't think I reached at all...

I respect Coach Williams even more for admitting that he even hits up the casino and has no problems with his guys letting loose. I would rather an answer like that then some stupid politically correct answer....

He wasnt doing anything wrong. I dont have an issue with this in any compacity. Now if it was Gerald Henderson or.... lets be honest NC State wont ever see a Final Four in any of our lifetimes. But I digress, if it was Henderson or someone from State I would have a big problem with it. That being said, GO HEELS!!!

This is just another example of too much media. The guy is of age to enter a casino, what's the problem?

The way people on here brag about their trips to Vegas, you'd think it wouldn't, but apparently when a member of a team they don't like says it, it does...

As long as he didn't break any NCAA rules, who cares?
