Since these situations usually resolve themselves without bloodshed, it seems to me that focusing on the life of a single individual (the captain) needs a bit less attention from Obama than the issue that involves millions (the economy). Wouldn't you agree?

Oh wait I just heard that he's going to give it to the Chinese so they can steal military secrets in preparation for the socialist takeover.

Since when does one person warrants the presidents full attention. That is why We have a CIA, NSA, DOD, and all those good acronyms.
Since the Obama haters have nothing else of substance to base a true criticism on, this is what they're left with....

You know...press asks questions...you answer? Or did someone not read the question they submitted for prior approval.

What exactly do you want him to say? There's a Navy destroyer at the scene, so I believe the situation is in as much control as it can be.

He could have expressed concern for the man being held, and for the other men who were hostages. He could have expressed concern that this international problem now has it home. He could have said his secretary of state is monitoring the situation (as laughable as she seems to find it). He could have said the Navy has a destroyer on the scene and the situation is in as much control as possible right now.
I'm just a lowly PR person, and I thought of four sentences that would have responded appropriately to the reporter's question quickly and easily. Why couldn't he?
