The cap is all about getting out of what you pay for players. The closer you get to a Superbowl contender the less you have to pay to either re-sign vets and FAs to a certain degree.I cant say that I am 100% happy with what we has to pay to re sign some of our guys but water over the dam now.The key to the new NFL rookie agreements/cap to make your 1st through forth rounds starters that stick..Teams that draft well will more than likely do well especially at the higher paid positions.

And hopefully their replacements would be already on the team.

williams's replacement has been on the team since 2008...that's why there's a big fuss over his contract.

I don't know what Stew's priorities are. If he wants to maximize his earnings, then talking about career length is logical.

But you (CRA) may be right that he wants to rack up big yards as the guy and/or play on the West Coast.

I don't believe he's talked a lot about his motivations so it's hard to know how signable he is.

If he wants to maximize earnings....then taking the big payday makes sense.....As a RB you want cash not years.

In addition to that, you want to play.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out

Stewart has squashed talks. Wants to talk when he can hopefully argue his biggest potential earnings of his career/life.

I don't Blame Stewart one bit. He needs to get paid. He doesn't have a TV personality, this could be his last pay day if injuries set in.
