There is no way Davis starts. Beason was drafted to play the Will, while Keek has never played it in his life. No one is feeding me anything, it's logic. BTW I'm not trying to belittle your opinion in any way, because by all means you could be 100% correct. In fact, this is a breath of fresh air to actually be discussing football on this board, which doesn't happen too often during the offseason.

I agree, kinda, about Davis. There is a chance he wins his job back. Why Not? Dr. Andersen is a specialist with a great success rate. If anyone can do it, I would be willing to bet it is Davis. Why Not?

Beast was a Will in College, I think. We moved him to Mike. Been there ever since. With good reason. He was not stellar during his stint at Will a few years ago. Although he will be asked to play there occassionally throughout the year. Just a guess. Calm down.

And no, Keuchly has played very little other than Mike. So he would be out of position initially. He is going to have to play all three positions anyway. Why limit him?

I have a particular interest in the LB corp this year. Mainly because, unlike many, I have faith Davis is going to put a monkey wrench into all those "He is a rotational guy" theories. Which will allow for the mad scientist in Rivera to emerge. And that gets my giddy going.

At this time last year we thought we were stacked at LB. Look at how the times have changed. Or have they?

Actually Kuechly played Will his freshman year in college. He was second in the nation in tackles that year.

Only second in the nation. Screw this... Cut the guy. jk

He is just too good of an athlete not to be able to play where ever Rivera puts him.

The thinking about putting Beason on the outside has little to do with Kuechly actually. It has more to do with the fact that Beason is versatile enough to play either position and better knows how to play Will. The thinking is that it will be easier to keep Kuechly where he has played most of his college career.

Beason's issues at Will were not that he couldn't play the position but more about him being out of of position and freelancing instead of playing his area and responsibilities. The idea is that he would be better at it this time and not having to go sideline to sideline would help with any lingering issues with his achilles if they are there. Plus he would still wear the green dot helmet and call out the plays.

Wow man, that was an impressive way of telling me I'M too serial. I almost wanted to salute and yell "Yes Sir", and I wasn't even in the militay.

In my original comment, I was just busting your balls. I thought it was pretty funny. Evidently I was wrong. I guess I should have inserted an lol, or jk as a qualifier.

Believe it or not, I see him as a starter too. The difference being? I have no clue where? You are behind the Gantt Theory. Sounds like a Ludlum novel. lol (Is that the proper useage?) 1st round picks are assumed starters. Cannot argue that. The money they get pretty much demands it. (Especially nowadays when you can lose them in 4 years.) You want him on the field.

There are 3 trains of thought on this one. 1- He was a MLB let him be a MLB. 2- Beast. 3-Let Rivera decide. My imagination wants Rivera to decide. Cuz it allows for more scenarios.

You don't bench the 9th overall pick in favor of a guy who's wrecked his knee three times.

beason was dreafted to be the eventual replacement for an aging Mike that could never find a way to stay on the field for a whole season.

it wasn't a question of 'if', morgan was going to go on IR, it was 'when'. we all knew that beason was bound to play the mike mainly because of who we had on the roster at that spot. he was slotted to start out at the will, but there was never any doubts by anyone paying attention that it was only a matter of time before he played the middle because of just how unreliable morgan was.

that just isn't the case here. this was a situation where the best defensive player in the draft and one of the best LBs in years just happened to fall into our laps.

it'll be him or a pass-rushing DE with ridic stats

If there would have been a DE with ridiculous stats I will be pissed because we did not draft him

Lets face it that will be a great problem to have if Davis and Beason are at there best and he cant beat them out

Beason can play any of the lb spots. don't kid youselves.

He was actually drafted to be what we had in Fields, that could also play mike, as insurance to Morgan.

Morgan went down again, and Beason took over.

Beason will be fine on the outside, if there is a good mike in the middle.

Pretty sure our rookie could plah any of the three linebacker spots.

It's the versatility of the players that make it so exciting, to rivera and company, and fans.

We Panther fans are so hilarious with our "Saints**" topics and "Saints**" posts. So clearly elevated. Here's to hoping that Louis C.K. does a stand-up bit on how bitingly poignant we are on society.
