So if Beason and Davis aren't going to play for much of the year what's the starting lineup looking like?

Anderson-Kuechly-????

Probably Jason Williams

I remember that 49er season changing game. Fox made a halftime adjustment. It stood out since they were so rare....got aggressive on D. Started to blitz heavily. Was a nice moment. He kept that mindset to finish that season

in the preseason it has been Anderson-Phillips-Kuechly I believe. I don't see why that would change. Phillips has been playing great.

i'm very interested to see jason williams' continued work at the spot. hopefully he's a guy that can play at MLB for as long as necessary without a drastic dropoff in production due to the guys around him. and if thomas davis comes back full strength by the season opener i wouldn't be surprised to see anderson-keuchly-davis packages with keuchly playing MLB to get the best players available on the field.

a whole lot hinges on beason's ability to return. arguably the entire season.

Oops, looks like furryman wins this one. Phillips it has been, and dooooing well. He uses his hands well, but he always seems to mis-step. He moves his feet well, but he just doesn't flow to the ball. It is like he just does not have that sixth sense of where to be. Like he is a half step behind. He plays at the hole, not in or before the hole. Does that make sense?

Speaking of at the hole. Our D-line opened some holes last week. Am really looking forward to seeing if that was a fluke, or if
Rivera really got through to the troops.

i think it will probably look like it has the past couple weeks with phillips in the middle.

in the JJ 4-3 the weakside is just about as important and crucial as the middle...maybe even moreso. kuechly would continue wearing the green dot and would be running things, he'd just be doing it from the weakside which isn't that big of a deal.

as long as phillips keeps performing well they will probably keep it this way.

Makes no sense (if Beason doesnt come back) to not have the best MLB to come out of college in the past 10 years, not play MLB for us.

why would he have to move? the role at the Will is just as important as the Mike in this D and kuechly would still be controlling things. seems the most solid line up if beason and davis miss any games is what we have right now.
