so now what?

happy because it should have been done when fox left and now we can go forward finally(hopefully).
but there's still these concerns...
who's going to take hurney's place?
who's going to do the hiring? JR? sorry...love the old guy but i don't exactly trust him personnel-wise and danny morrison is a newb to the NFL.
are we going to be sticking to "the plan" on team building?
just how much of a house cleaning is going to go on?
does this put the panthers in even more of a tailspin and does this effect cam's desire to stick around when it's time for a new contract? can we get the stability and winning culture we should have in the next year or two?
someone hold me....

If nothing else, Hurney's firing should put the rest of the coaching staff and front office on notice that they've pretty much reached the end of their rope in terms of making progress towards fielding a competitive team. If things don't shape up in short order, I don't think anyone would be surprised to see Mr. Richardson clean house - tear it all down and start from scratch! This season is done anyway.
I dont see it happening until we get a GM

Then again, Hurney held onto his job for what, nearly 14 years?

I wonder who controls our draft now?
I would have fired Rivera first and chud

Bill Polian... Welcome back!
I'd be down with that. Polian was a great GM as I remember him.

Well, gee, is anyone else surprised that he is sad to see the guy who engineered that big fat contract is gone? Whether Marty was the "realist" GM in the league or not, ultimately - and by his own admission - the team's performance is his responsibility. Good or bad, fair or unfair, that's the way it is.
