Seemed like the most obvious call ever. If the whistle blows the play is dead. I can't imagine how they decided to allow the TD.
I'm guessing the ref said "Yeah I completely missed it not even close, call it a TD so I don't lose my job."

It's a stupid rule. Needs to be changed.

The refs suck! That may of helped us (on that play) but they made up for it and screwed us later on.

yeah, it was pretty bad.
The call was wrong, but ought to have been the right call.
So we benefitted from a bad call that would be a good call if the rules were perfect.

The refs hosed both teams. Worst officiated Panthers game in recent memory.
-blown whistle on D-Will touchdown
-roughing the passer call against Washington
-late hit on T Davis
-back judge pretending he's Cam under center
-several others that are hit or miss weekly, those were the obvious ones
