smart move. that is the only way that he would be able to succeed. he has to be surrounded by NFL talent on his coaching staff.

Yep - he's a smart man. Knows he doesn't have the NFL HC experience ... surrounding himself with as much as possible would make it a much easier transition for him.

Caldwell or Keim would be my guesses on the third unannounced GM candidate for the Panther's current opening.

I could see Caldwell as an option.

If we do get an actual name and it's someone I haven't profiled already, I'll write up a new one.

this was one of the main things i figured on when i jumped on his bandwagon.

i just wish it mattered and that we weren't so content with a losing coach.

Be a dern site better than Kokinis.

You can also bet Accorsi would have enough clout to tell Richardson "that's not the right way to run things; this is."

I don't think there's any chance it happens, and haven't even seriously considered it, but I might have a little fangasm if Accorsi was announced as the GM.

Super unlikely...but I would not be unhappy.

There is still hope.

It's still possible that JR was spending time reviewing the end of the season this week and deciding what to do and Rivera will be gone after the meeting.

I'm not giving up the chance that he won't be here next year until he is confirmed here. I hope he's not and I hope he's gone soon enough for us to find an upgrade to replace him.

I expect Rivera to be here. But I reserve the right to hope.

my hope is that JR has been spending the week with accorsi rather than sitting around relaxing.

I certainly hope so.

He doesn't strike me as stupid and that would be the prudent thing for him to have been doing.

If I remember correctly, he has Panther Ties.
