think about what they said about him before the draft...and then he put up stats that were the BEST ever in the first two years. Thats why they hate him, they will always hate him until he wins rings. Then they will just hate him less.

you're right. Pretty pretty no one have him a chance and then he played so well that they couldn't really say anything about his game, so they decided to attack his attitude

Cam is a great talent, but his attitude is a significant issue. Imagine you were office manager and every time something went wrong, you pouted, went into your office and threw a towl over your head. What would the office climate be like?

It is not hate for me, but it is concern. I did not want Cam, primarily because i was concerned about his character. He could be great, but right now, he needs to be led. We want him to lead.

You could argue that he was better down the stretch. Was that because we were winning, or did his positive attitude cause us to win? I understand his frustration and cannot imagine how frustrating it is to see Hangartner's name on the back of his jersey pressing into your facemask---we need to protect him more.

Cam's attitude is based on the pressure he puts on himself. He was frustrated because the playbook was too thick for him. That is why he was holding the ball so long during the first half of the season--thinking too much.

Growing Pains. We want the confident, smiling Cam running the team, not the upset-with-himself Cam.

Well said.Yea his maturity has to catch up with his freakish ability. If he can do that the sky is the limit for Cam.The guy is still very young

I'm new on here but I'm not new with the Panthers...I haven't quite figured this one out yet, but why exactly has Cam received SO much hate over the last 2 years. I know his attitude could be better but seriously?? He's had one of the best starts EVER of an NFL QB, but ESPN jerk offs like to do nothing but waste time talking about how he'll never make it in the NFL. I don't understand it, but I guess that's life

The media want Cam to fail because they feel he's been to successful and they don't like it. They believe it's their job is to dictate which player should succeed and which one should fail.

So far they have been wrong about Cam's ability to play in the NFL, so the only way to make themselves look good is to nitpick on everything he says and does to make themselves appear right about him. I'm sure if one sits and point out everything we do and spin it in a negative light, they'd say the same about each and everyone of us that we're saying about Cam.Cam is no different than any of the other QB in the NFL.

I also believe him playing professionally in the same region where all the Auburn hate was generated doesn't help either. Clearly, there seem to be a lot of college football fans who want to believe Auburn paid for Cam and in some way all the generated hate against is warranted because they don't want to accept reality. They seriously believe the media's attack on Cam is more than justified and folks like ESPN and NFLN are more than happy to feed that hate. Outside of them nitpicking and being quite self-rightous with Cam, not one of them can say this kid is a bad kid and deservising of the treatment they have so viciously thrown on him. The attack on Cam is more negative stereotypical than reality based.

Yeah, why don't you just admit that you believed the BS you heard about Cam in the media. Every QB shows they disgust for losing in different ways. Stop trying to turn what Cam does into more than what it is...media fodder. Cam is a QB in sports, not a CEO of a company. Stop trying to turn them into one and the same because they are not. I seriously doubt Cam would go and throw a towel over his head if his company's stock fell.

You clearly spend way to much time listening and watching ESPN. Remember, they were the ones who fueled the Aubun/Bama rage by accusing Cam's father of sellng Cam to Auburn without a single stitch of proof and only because Cam was minority. Remember Bama is the school who believe their own dominance in the SEC and believe if Auburn didn't "pay for Cam" they would be four for four in C wins. Sickness is churning the hate for Cam.

Cam is not where he needs to be. Blame the media if you want. I hope Cam does not share this attitude because if he does, he will not get better.

There are many players in the NFL who have to deal with the media--I think the number is, "all of them."

Cam's criticisms were justfied--his praise is too. He gets both, and, to be honest, the media has been spot on most of the time.
