Logan worked as an assistant under Jimmy Johnson, John Cooper, and Bill McCartney. He has tutored NFL quarterbacks with distinctly different skill sets and helped each of them improve. He is not conventional, and in a league where innovation is vital especially with a talent like Cam Newton, Logan is the perfect fit.

It's a thought. Really hadn't thought about Steve Logan as the OC. Would be an interesting move, although after Chud, the FO might not have the stomach for such an innovative forward-thinker on offense. Moreover , with Rivera's neck on the line, would he have the vision to sign off on such a move? Logan seems to know what he's talking about, and definitely has a lot of knowledge and ideas about football.

He speaks positively about Cam Newton, also. The things Logan could probably do. The thought is somewhat tantalizing.

Having grown up in Greenville during Coach Logan's tenure, I like this idea.

Steve Logan is fugging awesome! I love that cat (and I am a UNC not ECU fan). I don't want him to get OC though because he has a Saturday morning radio show here in Raleigh that is a must listen every week.

One of the biggest mistakes ECU ever made was letting this guy go. Don't want him as panthers OC, tho.

He sounds comfortable where he is and would be like trying to bring an aged dinosaur back to life.

2 seasons of failure as a rb coach with the bucs 2 years ago is hardly a pimp for an oc job

I like Steve Logan, personally. Gettlemen better be making the decision though and not Rivera.

I watched Logan at ECU for a decade. He did develop Jeff Blake and David Garrard. Here is an article he wrote bout his offensive philosophy. How much do you think that matches up with our skill sets?

He has a larger resume than that, but okay.

I should note though that his first season there the Bucs had over 2,000 yards rushing (8th in the NFL) and averaged 4.6 yards per carry (6th in the NFL). Both of those number are better than this year's team that has Doug Martin on it, and that team in 2010 had no real talent at RB.

I guess that is considered failure these days. smh
