Joe was easily our best punt returner, discounting the fumbles. He didn't break any long ones (too few chances, imo) but he was all but guaranteed to get at least 10-15 yards which is a helluva lot better than "fall down as soon as you get the ball Edwards". Obviously the fumbles are a big problem but that's one of the easiest to correct problems in football. And on the few plays he got in on offense he did well. I have full confidence he'll turn into a solid contributor to the team if in no other way at least as a PR.

I agree with you once more. I am one of the few who strongly still believes in Joe. Fumbling is an issue that can be easily fix. People want to blame Adams that he's a fumbler, I blame the coaches (Rivera and Murphy). You cant teach talent and gift. You can def teach ball security.

Gotta disagree.

Punt returning is more instinctual than coached. And if part of your instinctual punt-returning game is carrying the ball out and loose (as it is with Adams), changing and "coaching" how he carries the ball is going to ultimately change the way he returns the punts. And if you do that, you've just defeated the purpose of drafting Joe Adams.

Our draft Haul in my mind was 2 Stars (Kuechly, Olsen), 1 Potential Pro Bowler (Silatolu) needs time, 3 Potential starters or quality backups (Norman, Alexander, Cambell), 1 guy with potential that needs to do more with his chances (Adams), and a bust (Nortman)

I thought we had a really, really good draft in 2012, I mean, think about, we got solid production from everyone but Joe Adams, who still has a really high ceiling if you coach him. Silatolu played better towards the end of the year, Norman was solid for a 5th round CB and Campbell ended up shining when he started. If we can do just as well this year and grab a dominant DT and offensive lineman in the first two rounds, we'll be in a very good spot.

I don't think that's the problem. When you look at it, it's not like Adams is fumbling the ball while running it. Its when he catches the ball that he fumble it (muffing). I think being a rookie, it puts a lot of pressure on him. Also I think he know that he's a dynamic returner and sometimes get too happy looking to run already before actually catching then running with it.

Holliday also had fumbling issue and I got bashed by just making a thread when he got cut. Look what he have been doing in Denver.

Lawrence Wilson was cut last year for being caught with dope. You're thinking Jason Williams.

That's right.. thanks!

So yeah, pretty fuggin weak draft class outside Cam.

I hate Pilares. I'm a fan, not a homer so I'm not biased on my players compared to others. Pilares is this upcoming season version of last season Lafell. Fans just want to love them.

Pilares is a bad receiver and still very raw. He's a straight line runner with average hands.

Pilares tries to start fights with skinny drunk frat kids over on Montford drive. I seen it...
