That's right Canes fans, you now have the best/hottest goal tender in the NHL.

Dan Ellis currently ranks first in goal against with an astonishing .075 goals against average and even more impressive, Dan Ellis ranks first in save percentage with a save percentage of .977.

I would like to congratulate Mr. Ellis on working hard to get back to the NHL. For those that don't know, Ellis suffered a serious groin injury which doctors told him would be career ending. Ellis did not let that deter him and worked his way up from the ECHL's Florida Everblades, to the AHL's Charlotte Checkers, and to the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes.

Here's to you Dan Ellis, for not throwing in the towel and becoming the best goaltender in hockey this season.

Also, a big thanks to Jimmy Rutherford for finding Mr. Ellis, what a huge acquisition.

I honestly think it will with the way Ellis is playing. But, knowing our FO, we'll probably end up trading Ellis for a prospect and a pick.

Still think Ward needs to be great for us to make the playoffs but fug yeah Dan Ellis let him play.
