Most of the good ones have been mentioned (40 year old virgin, Old School, Superbad, etc.) but for some reason I have always been a fan of:

Joe Dirt
Black Sheep
Tommy Boy

It's stupid comedy but whenever they are on TV, I wind up watching them.

No one mentioned 21 Jump street?

That was surprisingly really funny to me. I was expecting like a "Dukes of Hazzard" remake and never thought it could be it's own stand alone franchise.

Reno 911 and Super Troopers is really funny too..bc dumb cops give me the gigglez.

I think 21 Jump Street was mentioned a couple times in this thread. That movie underhelmed me. I think maybe I was expecting too much based on what I had heard about it.

Problem: over 10 yrs (yes, over 10 yrs :o ) and really dated now..like Something About Mary lost all its shock factor when you watch it now. They are jokes even Jay Leno makes now.

I watched Chasing Amy last year and its amazing how sex stories and lesbian relationships have been portrayed on regular media and TV show when that used to be shocking n edgy.

Now its on ABC family..

Evolution of Humor(or DeEvolution to some) is really interesting.

It seems to really separate the generations just as you hear someone say SNL aint funny no mo.(hasnt watched more than 3 skits in 30 yrs) and quotes how John Belushi acting as a Samurai is much Hilario. Not wrong just not as relevant or timeless.

Now there are classics but I think that is it dates one on the references that are nuanced to the times in some cases. Spinal Tap and CB4 comes to mind..and plays on the attitude and trends of the time.

Now Monty Python's The Holy Grail, Coming To America, and Clerks(15 yrs!) is my trilogy of way back when.

I thought Dinner for Schmucks was hilarious. Most I laughed in a theater in a long time.

There was a moment in Pineapple Express that I missed until maybe the 3rd time....or maybe my memory is just hazy. The part where Franco and Rogen are in that holding cell and they're suppose to be handcuffed. One cough you go, two coughs i go. And then Franco just starts coughing because of stoner lungs and he brings his hand up to cover the cough and then puts it back behind his back. Little poo like that made that movie.

And like AppStatePanther said Burn after Reading and Men Who Stare at Goats. I saw those both in theatre. Really fuging funny.

classic. Coen Bros can do no wrong.

Tucker and Dale vs evil
Zack and Miri make a Porno
