#2948008 Support the Kraken rally?

His guilty verdict is suspended. A trial de novo removes that conviction. If he were convicted, he would be serving some sort of punishment, whether he appealed or not. The fact that Hardy is not serving any sort of punishment for his "conviction" leads me to believe that he is innocent. After the trial de novo, Hardy will have his verdict. An appeal at that point would not remove the conviction until and unless the appeal reversed the conviction.

tl;dr; Due process is important. Shut up if you have not studied or are not studying the law in law school.

#2936937 Godfrey not at fault in Bucs' first touchdown.

Posted by Cover2Safety33 on 08 September 2014 - 12:14 PM

Again, fair point made by you. But if I may redirect. It seems to me that the safety position was created to keep from getting beat over the top. This may not be the case for this particular play but it just looks like Godfrey is unaware of the possibility that the play could go where it ends up going. His awareness is atrocious and if he's not put in exactly the right spot by the coaches he is utterly useless.

Let me ask you: if Godfrey goes to defend the sideline and McCown hits the seam in the endzone, would you still be upset with Godfrey for not anticipating the pass going to the seam?

Godfrey had two men coming into his zone, one down the seam and another along the side-line. If White disrupts the outside receiver, then Godfrey potentially has more time to get over.

People can be upset with Godfrey all they want, but they should hold White equally responsibly in this touchdown. I just don't think Godfrey is as bad as people on this forum seem to think.

There are too many threads bashing Godfrey for me to put this in all of them, so I figured I would just post it separately.

http://blackandbluer...irst-touchdown/

"[C]ornerback Melvin White was supposed to make contact with receiver Chris Owusu. Instead, Owusu had a free path down the sideline after White allowed him to have a free released."

While Godfrey is not the best at coverage. I believe it is unfair to give him so much crap for a play in which Melvin White was at the very least equally at fault.

Quite possibly the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Did you see it? The guy looks like the epitome of manhood. Not to mention, you're claiming that, out of all the things on The Huddle, what I said is among the gayest? My statement doesn't even crack the top 100.

I REALLY hope that Tampa remains convinced that McCown is the answer. Please, let them keep him as the starter.

I can't complain about that play call considering we are up 10-0 with DA at QB.

200 yards passing with DA...I can't believe it. And KB is freaking killing it out there! A little more and he'll surpass THE Brandon Cooks's debut.

#2931040 So Bersin is active?

Posted by Cover2Safety33 on 07 September 2014 - 01:43 PM

Having a little trouble pasting the link for some weird reason.

David Newton is implying that Bersin will see some action.  It's over on espn.com in his Panther's mailbag.  Headline is Newton's vegas worth.

I just think that Newton had yet to see the report that Bersin would probably be put on the inactive list. That said, Bersin could very well be active considering the list has yet to be officially released.

Hey, I like it simply because they sent a bounty hunter (IG-88) to the Saints.

It is such a perfect match.

Keep Pounding

Solitary drum pounding

black to a nation’s pulse beating

ice through veins hardened

by twenty years of starvation

for success more than a morsel.

There are no moral victories

this year. There is only domination.

Cereal.

              Killed it.

                            No spoon.

And seventy-thousand strong

we are, bleeding black and blue

within our hallowed temple.

As legendary gladiators battle,

defending us from invasion,

all we can do is shout—

That is all they ask of us.

Sixty minutes tick away:

warriors leave the field,

spectators exit the temple,

and a single man remains,

pounding a black drum

for the nation yet lives.

#2559520 Shula....coaching

Posted by Cover2Safety33 on 22 December 2013 - 05:06 PM

Are we seriously complaining after a great win like this?

Your team isn't going to show up every single game. Good teams wins the close ones. Good teams can win even when they don't succeed on offense.

There is no reason for us to be complaining about coaching and play calling after we win.

Rivera punted. It was the right decision. We would not have picked up the first on that fourth down.
Also, our offense just wasn't performing well until the final drive.

Take a deep breath.

We are going to the playoffs and, barring a bad loss next week, will have a first round bye.

Go Panthers!

Not to rain on your parade, but Brees's is correct and you are, in fact, wrong.

Sincerely,

The Grammer Hammar

I was going to say exactly this.

Brees' would indicate multiple Brees owning this bedroom...and thank God there is only one of those ass-hats.
