#3096527 DeAngelo on Ink Master tonight.

Posted by Rubi on 18 November 2014 - 10:28 PM

I wouldn't let any of those chumps ink me up. Their execution is so flawed

#3094676 SOTU - How would you fill in our roster holes to get us above 7-9?

Posted by Rubi on 18 November 2014 - 09:10 AM

Offensive First Unit:
WR1 - KB
WR2 - Amari Cooper
WR3 - Phily
TE - Olsen
TE2 - Swole
LT - 2nd Rd pick
LG - Turner
C - Khalil
RG - Norwell
RT - Mid tier FA or Bell
FB - Tolbert
RB - Stewart/Whitaker
QB - Cam
Defensive First Unit:
DE - Ealy
DE - Hardy
DT - Star
DT - KK
LB - T Davis
LB - Luke
LB - Klein
CB1 - Norman
CB2 - White
Nickle - Benwickere
FS - 3rd Rd pick, or somewhere thereabouts
SS - Lester or Boston

I think if we go Cooper in Round 1, we have to spend some cash on a FA LT. If we bypass LT in round 1...we absolutely must have a proven guy over there. Cam needs help in the trenches

Cam looks completely lost today. Just an epic fall from grace this year

#3080798 Anyone Else Catch The Aftermath Of The Ninth Sack?

Posted by Rubi on 11 November 2014 - 07:42 AM

Everyone is pointing fingers but Cam isn't making the most of what he has. Obviously, he's in a tough situation, but he is capable of more than this. There's literally no one above blame tonight.

I don't think even Aaron Rogers would survive the assault that takes place every week on our OLine. Are you kidding me?

Cam can't carry this team right now. His body is all beat to hell. He needs help. Olsen and KB run routes. But they can't save Cam from being destroyed every drop back.

Can someone explain the logic of the 4th down lob we called?

#3077953 What are we doing?

Can someone explain the logic of the 4th down call?

#3077888 What is going on?

Posted by Rubi on 10 November 2014 - 09:44 PM

4th and 1 bomb?

What are we smoking?

Stewart is bulldozing. And we sub him out for Williams...who is playing half asleep...

Can someone please talk me off the ledge here?!

#3074548 So who still believes in the Panthers this season?

Posted by Rubi on 09 November 2014 - 06:53 PM

Too many holes on this roster. I think GMan knew what was coming and that's why he didn't spend a lot of $ in FA. Bad contracts were going to severely limit this team. We have to ride out the storm and have another strong draft in '15.....

:-/

#3059580 What is going on? Cam's QB rating keeps getting worse this season: 100.2,...

Posted by Rubi on 30 October 2014 - 11:06 PM

Injuries have crippled this offense. No line. Olsen has to block every play now. We seem to pass to the sidelines way too often...long throws. KB being a rookie. Asking Cotch and Bersin to step up but they lack the talent to do so. Shula- lol

We never call anything underneath. No outlets. Nothing short and simple.

I hate this offensive scheme.

#3047340 Troubling comment from Rivera

Posted by Rubi on 26 October 2014 - 09:25 PM

How to fix the Offense:

1-draft / acquire better OLine talent
2- draft / acquire some speed for the slot
3- draft / acquire a second TE who can make plays
4- draw up plays designed to let our WRs have some YAC. Every route we run its a catch and tackle. You watch other prolific offenses...they get their guys in space and make easy throws and watch em run. Why can't we do that?

Do these things so we can quit asking cam to carry the entire offense every single week. It's not possible in this league.

#3002189 How many more times will Philly Brown muff a punt before he's pulled?

Posted by Rubi on 06 October 2014 - 07:31 AM

The punt return had nothing to do with Brown's ability. It was a busted play and he was in the right place at the right time. He struggles reading the ball on the way down and he is rarely underneath it when he needs to be. Every catch is like OMG OMG!!Next year's draft should include a special teams ace/offensive speedster..

Just my $.02

#2934769 What we learned about today's game against Tampa Bay

Posted by Rubi on 07 September 2014 - 07:26 PM

What we learned today is that Anderson can really play when it matters. There were hiccups at the end but this was Anderson's first start since 2010. He was really solid all day and gained invaluable experience. Cam got a well deserved rest and 7 more days to heel. This takes the pressure off of Newton to force himself to come backer sooner than he needs to. When he is ready he can do his thing and until then has a backup who is solid and moving the offense. Penalties and missed line assignments cost us a few drives and points.
Shula was great today.. He passed when they loaded the box and ran Deangelo around the end and Stewart up the middle when they played cover 2. He created a gameplan for Anderson that was effective. and used the whole offense with a backup quarterback who hadn't even appeared in a game since 2012. On the road against a Tampa Bay team celebrating a new coach and a new offense that is supposed to put up 35 points we pitched a shutout most of the night . Some say too conservative but I say until we closed out the game relying on the defense which is the strength of the team.
If someone had told me this is how things would unfold last night I would have been ecstatic. I hate nitpick ears and guys with axes to grind criticizing the game. It was awesome. That's it......................

I have a problem with how the game was managed going into halftime. Could've had plenty of time for some TD chances...3 timeouts and you settle for a FG??

Not cool...

#2919176 3 keys to a victory in Tampa

Posted by Rubi on 01 September 2014 - 10:49 AM

1- JStew
We are a different offense with JStew running the ball. I just don't see the vision or instincts with DWill and we cannot afford a slow start vs that upgraded Tampa defense. Pound em out early with JStew. Will open things up in the 3rd quarter.

2- Our DLine vs Their OLine
This is a big edge for us IMO and If they start that bum backup I think our Dline will feast all day long. Their Oline may be in worse shape than ours. I expect Star/Short to blow them up. I predict a 6-7 sack day with Hardy and Johnson showing up as well. Won't matter how tall their power foward WRs are if their QB is constantly under pressure and on his ass.

3- Byron Bell
I would say our entire OLine but I'm narrowing it down to the LT. Bell needs to show up against this defense. We can't have Cam running for his life. He needs to stay upright and Bell is obviously a huge factor. Protect that blind side long enough for Cam to get it to Optimus Prime.

What does everyone else think?

I suggest we all devote a minimum of 5+ hours this week with our notepads breaking down some of the preseason footage. Send in your notes and ideas to Rivera. This is a scary game IMO because of the unknowns for both squads. Rivera will need all the help he can get...

#2900354 Cam expected to play a half at New England

Posted by Rubi on 20 August 2014 - 06:25 PM

He needs the extra reps. Can't afford a slow start in Tampa. That team will be more than ready for us week 1. We need to start fast and demoralize them quickly.
